hopefully they'll get this sorted soon. at least they are giving us info and stuff. an ETA would be nice though but at least we got something.

Well, it's impossible to know WHEN they'll fix the glitch.

I'd rather that we not get an ETA and it just get released when it's done, if I'm honest. Cause if they say "It'll be out in 2 hours!" and then it isn't, it's just sort of a disappointment, as opposed to a pleasant surprise if they don't tell us when it comes out and then they release it.

Then again, that's just my opinion.

well they said 2 hours ago they had "fixed the bugs" that was the first post so obviously the only thing holding it up is the whole server and linux thing

understandable. yeah that would be cool too. but i like ETAs so there's something to look towards and for me personally, it might be annoying if it gets pushed again but at least we got some thing

Better later and fixed/stable, than rushed buggy release. I am just waiting and I will be happy to decimate specimens on a new map (as well).

How disappointing. I can't pick up the Axe, even though I actually completed the "Not a Warhammer" Achievement (once the patch came in for Dwarfs?! I reset the achievements to earn them and try the game out, once I did it, I came to KF's xmas). This is a big downer of a bug.

EDIT: going to check the Trader menu to see if it's available.

Alright, checked, the Axe is in the Trader, not on the stone, therefore it's not map-specific.

Groovy.

so yeah finally got to try out the new toys and holy crap is that ZED Gun cool. surprised the axe cant be pulled from the rock but still pretty nice toy. this was definitely worth the wait.

Can't catch me ( just had a bait friend with group of 5 gorefasts ... nothing )
Highlander also seems locked ( soloed whole game with claymore .. nothing )
A Bloody Christmas Carol ( same game as above didn't achieve anyway )
Still didn't try out the This Better to Give than to receive

everything else seems working for me

anyone else have the problem ?

I have to say. I AM LOOOOVVVVIINNGGGGG the New Map. It Fits 3 of my favorite things, Refrence to Aliens, Space, And Tripwire's KF! Also I like How they Balanced a few things now. Over all this Event Toppels the ones from this year and the last 2 Twisted Christmases. A Great Event to End this Great Year.

im liking how balanced the new zed gun is. it doesnt have INSANE damage. it has a slowing effect which works on scrakes/FP if you charge it up to a large ball. the slowing effect can be waved around and slow big groups of clots/gorefasts/crawlers. an awesome support weapon for berserker or medic. the primary fire does a fair amount of damage but it doesnt even come close to a shotgun blast so it cannot be considered overpowered. the ammo count is similar to that of the flamethrower. 100 and like 6 clips. the balls also has travel time (not hitscan) whereas the beam is instant. it cost a ton and takes up 8 kilos so id say its pretty balanced. also nice touch to having the first non perk weapon :)

as for the dwarfs axe, im curious to know what the headshot modifier is but the damage is on par with the claymore, it swings pretty fast, knocks zeds back with the primary and GIBS CORPSES with the altfire kills. the knockback might seem too much but the axe has an extremely short range, almost like the machete. it seems to be more of a 1 handed weapon and not some long battle axe. the artwork on it is ornate and it has a nice spike on top. it also has a satisfying WHOOSH sound when you swing it. i have yet to test this knockback on scrakes and fleshpounds because im too busy using the zed gun :>

the schneidzekk, or new medic gun, has a very high fire rate with a 50 bullet clip. it cost a ton at 1300 with level 6 bonuses but still weighs only 3 kilos which is great. THE KEY THING about this weapon is that it has the syringe recharge rate of the MP5, not the slow recharge of the mp7. i think it might be a straight up upgrade to the mp7. need to test it more.

as for the moonbase map, they made a map around the lowgrav function that was already in the game so kudos to tripwire for using all the resources that KF has to offer. there is plenty of artwork, including the corpses and very nice looking trader rooms. one of the trader rooms even has a furnace in it with dead scientists in it :0

overall a great event. looking forward to testing out the new weapons some more. there really is a plethora of weapons when you compare to when KF was released. there are so many more options for offperking. it is going to be fun finding interesting loadouts for all the different perks.
