I'm bored, so I'm making a thread about Killing Floor stories of glory, and of failure.
So, my story of glory, was a recent match where I was with a group of random guys, and we were playing on a server with difficulty at Hell on Earth, and the map was Offices. The team consisted of 1 zerk, 1 medic (me), 1 sharpshooter, 1 commando, and 2 support specialists. Everyone was level 6. We were on the bottom floor, and camped in the hallway there. The zerk camped at the back door where the stairs are, while the rest of the team kept close to where the "red room' is at. Ad for me, the medic, I just kept in between and helped with everything else.
Although there was nothing very amusing going on during the rounds, it was the final wave, that made things interesting. Our final wave setup, was that we had 2 zerks (one being me), 1 medic, 1 demolitions, and two supports. Demoman carefully had pipe bombs placed along the whole hallway on the bottom floor, and a few near the stairways. The one zerk and I were hiding near the red room, and planned on luring patty into the red room, so we could trap him by chainsaw Altfiring him. Well, things got crazy, and patty slipped pass us, kinda, and after the first heal, the two zerks (me being one of them) died, and the demoman died as well.
So, during the second part of the patty fight, the support guys were able to pump tons of AA-12 shots into the guy, causing patty to use his second heal. But after getting healed, patty came around and smacked the two supports into a slightly long and door-less hallway. Patty's machine gun chewed right through them. The only person alive, was the medic. Armed with Xbow and medicgun, he threw away his medic gun, and ran for the roof. After running away, sniping the patty, running so more, he was able to get patty down to his last heal. This last part of the fight, was just pure skill, luck, and awesomeness, wrapped up into 20 minutes.
The medic would run through the roof top, and down to the third floor, where he would wait for patty, and then would shoot one arrow at him. Of course, he would be charged at, so the medic would then run away as fast as he could, and close any doors that he pasted by. There were many times where Patty would swat at him, but he would miss, since the medic was going up the twisted stairs leading to the roof. Also, there was an item spawn point on the third point, that spawned at least 4 Kevlars, but the medic was able to grab only 3 of the 4. So, after doing this for a while, the patty somehow got stuck with a door on the roof, so the medic naded him, and then when the patty raged, he got STUCK in the door. Well, the medic pumped him with arrows, and then finally, he was he.
The match lasted about 1 hour and 20ish minutes, but the ending, was really tense. So, if you want to, then feel free to post any of your stories that are related to killing floor, and show times where your team was barely able to make it, or barely failed.
