Killing floor problems!! Help.

Hello. I need help with killing floor i have found no way of fixing this problem. Every time i try to join my friends it stays on a screen that downloads the map even though it's a core map. If it's not that is says server not responding will anybody know how to fix it. please help

try deleting the map from your killing floor directory, then verify cache. Sometimes you'll need to server hop to find a good server that won't kick you if you're trying to join a server that a friend is currently on

Is there any other message or error that pops up? I know something that causes this to happen but it comes up with the 'No reconnect' message when you cancel the connection. This happens on every server. If this is the case, then please go to your ../KF directory/System/ and then find a file calles 'steam_appid.txt' I think it is called and delete it. It will work from now on.

If it is not the above then please check other servers just incase it's not just your end.

I had all of this problems above and I fixed them as follows:

1. Server not responding message is due to not opened ports and not static IP of the computer that starts the server and it can be fixed by reading the pinned threads in this forum.

1.1. If you join a random server the Server not responding issue can be fixed by copying the server IP, right click in the game multiplayer menu > open server IP > pasete > enter.

2. The core maps downloading is due to an update downloading crash and can be fixed by checking the cache files throught steam.
