Build UT2004_Build_[2004-11-11_10.58]

OS: Windows NT 6.1 (Build: 7600)
CPU: GenuineIntel PentiumPro-class processor @ 2195 MHz with 4061MB RAM
Video: No Video

General protection fault!

History: UWindowsViewport::TryRenderDevice <- UWindowsViewport::OpenWindow <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine <- FMallocWindows::Free <- FMallocWindows::Free

My video drive isn't the selected i guess. but the game wont load so i cant change it. can anyone help?

Edit: i looked at one of the moderators walls and it looks like someone else had the same problem. The moderator said delete redorchestra.ini where is that file?

By default it is in c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\killingfloor\system and has a cog on the icon.

I have the same problem, the only way I have be able to get the game to play, and then it only crashes once in a while, or entirely locks up my computer is to turn off AA

For other things I have tried see here,

http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=48365

Would someone at tripwire please look at this, many people are having these issues. Its more then just ati based, I have a nvidia card geforce 470.

I keep getting this:

Build UT2004_Build_[2004-11-11_10.48]

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: GenuineIntel PentiumPro-class processor @ -1900 MHz with 2047MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT (9745)

unrecoverable error - bombing out

History: UWindowsViewport::OpenWindow <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine <- FMallocWindows::Free <- FMallocWindows::Free

Not the only one. Deleting .ini files and validating cache does not help.

Welcome, yes your not the only one. Try putting the game into DX8 mode, theres a sticky about it, that turns off AA.

It may allow you to run the game for a little bit, or it may fail totally. It helped for me for about all of 10 minutes before my whole system locked up and crashed.

Umm.. How?
Also: Why can't the devs fix it? It seems like it has been a VERY common problem for years now!

I deleted the entire System folder, validated and got it to start up once.. Until it got stuck in a black screen and I had to alt-F4.
Tried running it again, got the same bombing out error as earlier.
