I'm actualy not running the wtfmut, just using a few classes from it such as a few zombies and few weapons, so i'm not too sure what the problem is, sorry i couldn't be more of assistance.

its no problem; if anyone has fixed it on their own, I will track that down. And at least I know that its not within whichever monsters/weapons you have (if you wouldn't mind jotting those down oif course), and that'll surely help.

And if it is in fact a mystery of the great deep of coding...well, then I'm afraid that, unless my fledgling coding skills can detect it, BartBear will be on his own for now

Will the M4 Carbine be released to the public?

I heard that KFL's expanded version of Departed is destined for greater things, but I personally think you should consider public release for the M4 as well (and perhaps a modded XMas chaos pack? ;))

It is The Sorrow's weapon; i believe he did the entire thing.

It is up to His divine opinion as to whether or not it is released.
However i heard the M4 was going to be a KFL exclusive :p

Exclusives are a stupid concept and don't work with Unreal. Nothing is stopping anybody to go to the server, download all the files and take them out of the cache folder. As soon as you put something on a server anybody who wants to can download it and "steal" your content. By releasing content for the public you can help bond the community and get a bigger audience of people who will give suggestions on what to improve.

This community is already a pretty limited one when it comes to custom content, so keeping things "private" is a pretty dick move in my opinion.

But that's just my 2 cents. Feel free to disregard.

Well, its the Sorrow's choice and his alone for what he does with his creation.

If he wants it to be exclusive, I say let him do it. Its a shame if it won't be, but at the same time I'm all for author control.

Also, something to consider: the thing is specially coded to fit into KFL balancing, which is not like KF balancing. It would require a new coder and a rebalancing. And on top, I hate to be that hater, but the sights are just a little weird and it sort of seems like a beta version of a weapon to me.

If all goes well though, the KFL might release a modded XMas zed pack, as well as the M4 and some special game mode stuff :D

I was looking for a M4 model for a long time. I respect your guys choice wheter you want to release or not release something publicly, but I just wanna say that you are not preventing anybody from actually taking it and using it for themselves. I personally already downloaded the model, decompiled and recompiled it into a standalone mutator for me to dick around in solo. I'll respect your guys wish to not repackage it into something else and put it up for download (As a unlockable for Weapon Perks for example).

Also I don't care much for the KFL balancing. If somebody does not like it then that person can just decompile, change the stats and recompile.

Just a note: I was a Sourcemod coder before, and there's no decompiling etc there. If somebody chooses to make a plugin exclusive to their server then it is. I've seen many good plugins with creative ideas that came and went. Authors disappeared so there was noone left to ask how exactly something was done and I spent many painful hours recreating code to mimic something somebody else had already written before. I love the way Unreal handles this, as I learned most of my coding from looking at other peoples stuff, and I'd just hate to see good custom models go because they were "exclusive" to a server and then that server disappeared at some time.

I'm okay with anything a little less cramped, and a little more defined. Maybe its a preference thing, since I prefer more open sights.

I'm sure some viewers are reading this thread, and asking themselves if such a mod would be good for the game. Is this server worth checking out? Is the download worth it? Is it any better than Vanilla KF?

The answer is that modded servers often are not as popular among vets is because they don't balance their content out, they throw on mods and it becomes a mess.
KFL has managed to overcome this by installing numerous mods that balance each other, and by adding a ridiculous amount of custom content made by KFL.
This is How.
Maps!
Maps on the KFL server are not ordinary maps. After entering, you may notice all maps have the -KFL suffix on them. This is because all maps are polished and improved and added upon to run well and also specifically to fit the KFL styles of gameplay. Thats right, the maps themselves are made for this server! :D
Here is a list of the maps that have been modified as of yet (May 5th)

Weapons:
Many weapons from various mods, vanilla, and specially made for this server, and they have all been tweaked to work into the server and perk system. Expect many surprises, as experimenting and playing around with weapons and perks will allow you to discover many special abilities, tactics, and tricks that will help you.
I won't be listing them here yet, because that would take far too long :p

Zeds:
"I don't want to spoil the test, but I would suggest you bring out the really big guns."
Expect a mix of specifically chosen WTFMod zeds, custom zeds, and a special cocktail of KFL zeds.

Perks:
These have been tweaked just right to work well.
Yes, there is levelling, but it is server-specific; that means it won't go towards your whole-game perks, but will save onto the server. The server itself has perks ranging from levels zero through 20.

Difficulty:
Well, the server occaisonally switches difficulties depending on the mood of the leaders, but it can be on Normal and remain a challenge to even veterans. This server isn't hard in a cheap way, but is still tough as nails, and making it to wave 11 is satisfying as hell.

Who shouldn't go? I'll tell you whom:
Trolls. The server has buffers and admins who do NOT tolerate this. So if you plan on trolling, expect to be kicked and never come back. The KFL does not tolerate you ruining this special experience for other people.

If you don't plan on stupidly robbing yourself of this experience for the sake of pitifully drawing pleasure from other peoples reactions, I highly suggest you PM Demon here, or one of the other admins.

I've been going into the KFL server for maybe the past week and at first it seemed like it was going to be too much for me and that I wouldn't like it cause I sucked but I kept at it and have ended up having a ton of fun on the server. The perks level quickly so you can get better quickly (in maybe a week I've gotten level 20 shotgunner and level 14 battlemedic) so it's not hard to level that much. I just wanna say thanks demon for creating a unique yet awesome KF experience.

I played with you in a game tonight(at least night for me) I was _[RG]_Kamikaze_Bum.
