i have been playing this game without issue (relatively speaking 
) for a few months, and today it has decided it would refuse to open up after loading the splash screen.
i have uninstalled 5+ times and reinstalled, validated and defragged the steam caches, uninstalled steam, deleted all files in steamapps, and still nothing seems to fix this
i am running a late 2009 15" macbook pro using leopard 10.5.8

for some reason, it has started to cooperate after the 7th reinstall, disregard this thread please
