Killing Floor Crash/Freeze

Hello I have tried various things to fix this the game hangs after loading it/and sometimes will NOT respond unless I Ctrl-Alt-Delete out of it--
I have tried doing a Windows Repair Reinstall to see if the issue was with windows as that worked the last time I had this problem and that did NOT fix it. Deleting Killing Floor System folder then using Steam to Re-Validate the files and then trying to reload the game again.
Deleting Killing Floor and Reinstalling from Steam.
Turning off PreCaching in KillingFloor.ini I have also made sure that there were no unnecessary programs when running Killing Floor such as MSN messenger, yahoo messenger...thus KF was the only game running at the time of trying these things.
I Know my Computer SHOULD be able to run it just fine I have 2 GB of Ram, a Pentium 4 Processor with 3 GHz of processing power, Windows XP service pack 3 running, Nvidia GE Force 7800 GT Video Card, and an ASUS motherboard.....I have NO idea what the problem is I have tried many many things and really want to play KF but can't.......help!

I have tried to Delete the System folder in the Killing Floor Folder then making sure that the server was Europe Central before Re-validating the files---still no go it locks up after starting up game it will run just hangs up and locks up the computer .

I don't know what to do....I tried deleting the whole thing today and re-downloading from a different server (chicago) I believe as some users have reported that switching servers seemed to fix it on steam......but not for me

Update: I have almost given up trying to fix this ...

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling Steam (moving around the SteamApps folder) and making sure when i download KF the server is on Europe-Central---I will try another Europe Server when I have time to do it and try the same thing I tried like 10 times already.

It's the EXACT same problem I've been having the past few days the game will startup just fine then after a minute or two it totally hangs and sometimes I can Ctrl-Alt-Delete out of it sometimes I can't and have to hard boot the computer system.
I have already tried deleting the system folder and Re-Validating it from Steam and double checking to make sure it was on Europe Central before i did that.

I have literally tried all the supposed "fixes" in the book short of installing it on another computer and try to play it from there............................HELP

Sounds like it is a discrepancy with the game communicating with the graphics driver. Make sure your driver is up-to-date and you aren't using a beta version.

Try lowering your monitor's resolution, disabling any extra displays, and running the game in a window instead of full screen.

Just for kicks, we can also troubleshoot for the network.

Load up a map in solo and play a few waves, if it doesn't crash try shutting down the game and upping your monitor's resolution back to where it was originally. If all goes well and you can start it back up at the higher resolution in a window, load the game full screen and play another solo game.

If it doesn't crash, try playing multiplayer. If it crashes in multiplayer, post the error(if you can.)

K the game ran fine in windowed mode on 800 by 600 resolution and texture on low...for 3 rounds it worked then i actually survived the last round then for whatever reason it crashed on me....i will try the other suggestions when I have time to play it tonight after doing homework

and oh BTW my video driver is up to date I have:

NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT 196.21
I'm not sure if that is a Beta Version or not....if so let me know how to roll it back to the previous version that is Non-Beta....thanks
