Hi there,
I'm having a lot of trouble getting lan games to work. My friends and all have legit copies through steam, and since we're all fairly far apart, and don't like to mess with randoms, use hamachi to set up lan games.

We're having a horrible time with this right now, and Killing Floor. We can SEE each other's games, but it times out when trying to connect to them. Can someone please tell me why this is occurring?

The odd thing is that we have the same problem when we create an internet (non-lan) game, with hamachi turned off. We can see each other's games, but it times out when trying to connect.

We've opened all the ports listed in the sticky above. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Hi there

I found we had the exact same issue as well. The only solution that we came up with was to connect directly to their Hamachi IP address.

Works well if you do that

Making server to play only with your friends is incredibly easy on steam ..

I dunno why people think this random !

Hamachi always smell piracy !

Proof you own the game ?

The problem I am seeing is everyone bashing people for using hamachi but noone actually helping with legitimate problems, I have 3 legit copies of the game and lan games don't work for me through steam anymore, and I can't just create an online game because we are all on one IP address it won't let my other computers join.

This seems to be a legitimate problem with LAN games, since hamachi uses a LAN connection then that doesn't work either.

If I manage to get lan games woking again I'll come back and post a fix, but otherwise I reckon we will have to wait for a patch

This. How about someone actually helps rather than accusing others of trying to pirate a game.
