YOOOOOOO...they got Alan Wilson AND Mark Hayler for the classic voices?!

I knew Alan was geared for it but unless I missed it, I had no idea Mark was anywhere near on board. Major kudos!

And Manor......man, I got rekt good but so far it's hella fun. Gonna enjoy it with the gang tonight.

Slowed down AI movement speed slightly in HOE
Wait, what? Every player already has unlimited sprinting and this makes outrunning zeds easier even if it's a small amount.

this sounds great, not sure if I am the only one having an issue updating my servers, but I am unable to update to the latest version and players can not connect.

Also, they said they fixed some map exploits. Does that include the one side window on Paris that you can Shotgun jump onto?

Thank you for the update.

As for people who wanted new perks/weapons... The way I see it, is that you have a dev team that is busy with their own areas of expertise. New weapons need models, animations (with real actors used for modelling the reloading along with other stuff definitely maybe), audio etc. It just so happened that the level design met its significant milestone at this point. Graphics people are busy with graphics stuff, level designer with level stuff, and if one area lags behind, chances are that they cannot readily allocate more generic codeslaves to it to make it progress any faster.

Adding in 'new perks' would probably be easy enough (since they only(?) need the lvl advancement effects and perk skills to be called new perks), but without their perk-class weapons being more or less 100% ready, is there actually a point - and would it do more harm than good; people would be wondering why new perks are in, but no weapons for them, eh?

Now, having mused about why 'we cannot have nice things', I would really like the current weapon arsenal to be a bit broader than what it is right now, even if the upcoming additions would be 'perkless' weapons (like flamethrower and katana currently are). Lack of high damage / hit weapons (Launchers, Xbow) is causing significant ammunition problems when gunning down scrakes and fleshpounds. Also, was LAW not originally a support-perk weapon before demolition perk was added to KF1?

Well I think it may be an exaggeration to say 60 maps. (maybe you got that count from a public redirect).

Comparing custom maps using existing/ported assets is not the same as an official map built from the ground up.

Modern day game design requires a wide range of skillsets that single mappers don't usually have.

I'm hopeful for new perks/weapons soon as well.

My server has over 60 working maps.

I like everything except this. Why? HOE was beatable with just 40% of perks, and why it rocked was because AI was so fast. If anything, you should make them faster...

Agreed, if we can beat hoe with only 4 perks its clearly too easy why make it easier?

wow, Im a tad bit late to the party, I know all we got was 1 map, but damn! that has more detail and more actual playable area than most other game's maps by like double or triple!

I find the exclusive characters to be utter bull****. I paid for early access expecting to reap all the benefits that anyone else would be getting. Just because I don't have the first Killing Floor means you aren't going to give me access to these characters? Cool, will not be supporting any longer if this company decides to be doing more of these exclusive updates.

  • Improved XP barks on player HUD

Now that I know what this means, this is my favorite part of the update. I'm very, very, very glad that you guys made this change. Being able to see XP gains when using off-perk weapons, welding, and healing is a real treat. Thank you.

Killing Floor has always been about selling cosmetics. Nothing that affects gameplay will ever be purchase-limited.
