Please don't do paid weapons again Tripwire, I like you but it was a bit of a low blow when you promised you wouldn't charge for weapons but did it anyways, keep it to small stuff like character skins, or make it purely cosmetic like with the camo and gold skins.

With all the free maps and events killing floor gets, I have no issue with buying dlc.

Finaly wonder happens.
Hope u'll send KF2 to Early Access really soon.
Playing the first one since release, this game means for me just something more than a regular game. It's warms up my blood, emotions and train the balls of steel, everytime.

And the first part gives me the pleasing emotion of despair being haunted by zeds as the last target, "You're the last one", but kept u fight for the last stand <3
If this emotion of this little despair will not fades, so game gonna be successful for me anyway.

Also hope the new one do at least the same thing for another 5 years.
+ one more over-waiters by me, and future Early Access tester.

upd:
I have just one little question. What about current DLC weapons of KF1? Are they will become a free weapons in KF2 or just fade out? I gonna miss them, some of 'em.

The clowns, christmas elves, and inbred hillbilly zeds were a little too silly now, don't you think?

They kinda strayed quite a way from the whole action-horror theme of the game that we've loved since the UT04 mod.

The DLC weapons in KF1 were generally side-grades that provided different types of interesting gameplay, but weren't just more powerful than the free weapons. They were also created by modders and the modders got a lot of the money for them. They also helped fund much of the last several free updates for the game. Keep in mind KF1 has been out for 5 years! The free updates for KF had to be payed for somehow, the money doesn't magically come from thin air. At the end of the day it is up to us to give fans what they tell us they want. Hundreds of thousands of fans voted with their dollars, and bought the weapon packs. The alternative would be we could have dropped support for the game 2 or 3 years ago, and not sold any DLC. I think most fans would prefer to have all of the free content and event content we released over the past few years. Now that KF2 is announced you also know that Tripwire has been funding 3 new games since KF1 released - Red Orchestra 2, Rising Storm, and Killing Floor 2. Of course everyone would love to get free content forever and we'd love to give free content forever, but we do live in the real world, and it does cost money to make these updates. Think about that next time before you grumble at us for selling weapon DLC.

I like the weapon dlc and I would love to see more in kf2. As for monetary costs, unless you're barely paying off rent and getting food the dlcs are quite affordable

This is great news! I have my money locked, loaded and ready to fire directly into your bank account. I do have a few questions as a long time fan/player of KF.

1) Will there be in game customization of your character?

2) Can Players create their own in game avatar (player character)?

3) If yes to either of the previous questions, will the new dlc content be theme based item packs you can mix and match equipment from? (ex: a fireman visual pack, A mardi gras visual pack)

4) Will there be Clan tags or Clan Insignia support? (these are FPS stapels from the very beginning)

I trust you guys on game mechanics. I would love to have more control over my characters voice and appearance. I will happily pay for additional options to fill out a robust base game. I have been waiting to give you my dosh for KF2 for years! This truly is a great day for this old guy right here!! :D

I under these things cost money, and I was glad that the weapons in the packs were either sidegrades or purely situational in nature, it's also nice that the modding community gets something for the work they do. I hope that KF2 does get a good amount of free stuff along side the paid stuff, really hyped for this game, and I hope it turns out well.

I have two questions. Hope you can answer these.

1. Will there be more game modes? Like endless survival and Versus or something. (I hope there will be.)

2. Can you buy weapon attachments/accessories from the trader for your weapon? (Like different sights, grips, ammunition and stuff) This would also be really nice thing to have.

If you can't/won't answer right now just say Later :D

As long as I can flip scrakes through the air with a well place sawnoff chinshot I'll be happy. Actually that is i think key to KF success and longevity amongst some of us longterm players... whether its m14ebr headshoting an FP as sharp or taking on a scrake with an ebr offperk, nade loading m32 shots as demo to take down multiple FPs or chinshotting a scrake as support, the combos are what makes KF rule. That and the awesome rage mechanics.
I couldnt care less about "guns, blades and blood" or extra perks and levels. I want more Zeds, more Combos and a hell of a lot more RAAAGE! Plz bring it TW!!!

While I don't exactly hate DLC if it's well made and isn't too expensive for a young fellah like myself, can we stop talking about it? The game was announced yesterday and there is an exclusive skin. It's only promoting the game more and is helping PC Gamer out, too. It's a win-win. What do we have to pay for the magazine? $5? $7? It's not bad.
