Will you add some strong battle rifles for Commando? So I don't have to buy an off-perk Lever-action to actually deal some damage?

G3 comes to mind actually, it's almost a forbidden weapon. We can find any weapon from the black market including pipebombs, dragon breath shells, .50 cal and .416 cal bullets at the size of my fist, but when it comes to finding a strong battle rifle it's absent because of balance issues?

>my pet fish can't climb a tree QQ

A strong battle rifle where you "actually" deal some damage wasn't included in the Commando perk because it'd simply be OP. So yes, it should be absent due to balance issues.

Killing Floor has never been about giving players the ability to solo everything in the game.
It's a co-operative game where perks have individual strengths and weaknesses and it's no surprise to anyone because the idea of co-operating is making up for each others' weaknesses and complementing each others' strengths to become powerful as a team.

Sorry I missed your first post. I do not believe there are plans for character transfers from one game to the other.

Sorry, question update. I mean, you already have Mr.Foster and DJ Scully in the KF2. So you could do the same to other characters, remake them into KF2. And use the KF1 achievement's link to unlock the KF2's remake achievement characters.

Hope you guys can really consider this, for the old time players.:(

Now that I finally calmed down and collected myself, I can properly express my gratitude and congratulations to TWI for making all us KF fans feel like a million bucks today. :D

Just one quick question. Any reason why you guys went with UE3 instead of UE4? Not that I'm complaining, the screen shots already look sweet, just wondering if there's any advantage of going with UE3 (like familiarity).

But again, congratulations and thank you. My friends and I can't wait for Early Access! :p

The biggest reason is we know unreal3 like the back of our hand now, The engine is incredibly stable and unreal3 still has a lot of life and looks good. we took a lot of complex code systems and things we learned from RO2/RS as a jump off point which has allowed us to spend more time on other systems. Look how fun KF1 was now imagine that on a enhanced version of ue3 ;) you wont be disappointed.

Congratulations!

I have played KF since may 2009 and have lately been playing Nether instead, since i have felt KF to become a bit stale for my many hours put in ( Noooooo! I will not say! It is a secret )....

Now i can get to spend a ridiculous amount of hours again....heeeh!

For sure it will be at least another five years with KF2 as well...heeeh!

KF is very hard to beat in sheer fun! That is why one keeps coming back for the action...

I thought Dying Light would be my favorite, already preordered 2013, 2014...but now i already know KF2 will be the king for me...again.

The new features are better than I could have imagined, high frame rate weapon animation!? Heck Yes!!! 19 points of dismemberment?! SICK!
25 perk levels with 10 perks... I might have to take a week off of work when this comes out.

(Early access candidate right here, many hours of KF1, lives near by and has seen that awesome DeLorean of Gibson's in person )

Oh man, you're probably serious too.
Hehe actually, I am serious on this one. :)
When I see those amazing shadows the ZEDs cast (hopefully realtime calculated ones) and the announcement of a new lighting system I think it is pretty doable. Also effects can be scaled up since we're on UE3.

In the end, it is what the devs make out of it, but they have the resources to do it. I just hope it won't end up too cartoonish and "bright".

We're very proud of the new high frame rate weapons. if you look closely you can see the barrel flex with some of the weapons as they shoot in slomo and it gives everything so much more of a hardcore feel ;)

Didn't you guys mention you used mocap for the guns as well?

I get the gist of how it works when dealing with human actors, but contraptions? Or am I wrong about the previous statement?

Barrel flex!? I just asked my higher up for the week off when this comes out, I got the green light!

If the new "Call of Duty" is asking $60 you guys can ask $120 for kf2.

I would pay that, in fact I won't pay under $60 for this game watch me. Be real on your pricing, you guys deserve to ask this much!

I know it's just euphoric but the thing is, 60$ is the maximum a game should cost in my opinion. That COD costs around that doesn't make it worth the price and overprice other games with quality. I'm sure Killing Floor 2 has the quality which makes it worth to cost like 60$. While COD is more like a quantity game which isn't worth more than 30$.

But what people also shouldn't forget is that this is just the base game. There will be dlcs coming. For my part I'm not sure if I'm going to invest 60$(I know the price is just fiction) in Killing Floor 2 even if it's the game I've been waiting for the most. I appreciate all the work and even the dlcs. I bought almost every dlc.

But for me it's more like you buy basic features and later you can upgrade your game with new dlcs, giving you more of a premium feeling because of the additional features you get. Of course those dlc won't give you superior weaponry(hopefully). But it just feels more complete.

Don't get me wrong! I don't say it's bad voodoo and TWI shouldn't be rewarded for their work but as a player I'm thinking twice how much money one game is really worth it.

I hope I delivered the message understandable. Also I don't mean to offend anybody with that.

No game is worth more than $50 at release. The standard of $60 on release needs to die off. Sadly it wont happen until people learn to educate themselves about a product before buying it.

That said, I think $30-40 on release is a decent price point for KF. Maybe TWI could clarify their pricepoint, would be nice.

30$ is a price I'd definitely consider as a good price.

i am excited for this, being a diehard KF fan and putting over 3k hours into this game i will definitely be partaking in its early access. Any word on when the store page for this will be up? I have TWI to thank for countless good times and relationships i have created through killing floor, some of which are the most important bonds i have ever forged, and without KF, they would have never came to be. That game will always hold a very special place in my heart, and i am excited to see how KF2 will revamp the old spirit of the first game.

TWI can have all my dosh, let us know when you plan on bringing it to early access!

Still, no any answer for my question.:(

Excuse me, but I have (with my friends) a big question for the upcoming KF2.

The question is: "Will we able to keep and transfer our Achievement characters (such as steampunk version of Mr. and Mrs.Foster) or any other unique characters from the first KF, to the KF2 and play as them?" After all, my friends and I are huge fans of steampunk version's characters. Especially steampunk Mr. and Mrs.Foster.

Don't have final answers yet on what people will and won't be able to carry forward from the first KF. Complicated!

Then will you have any plans for "reward" old players? At least make a different between newcomers?

Most likely. Somehow. Not sure how, yet.

Will Mr. Wilson be involved in the voice work again?

Not if I can possibly avoid it. The Other Brit will most likely be making a return - probably rather more of a return than people would guess. As for me - you know the requirement for a petition in the White House? 100,000 signatures. I hated listening to my own sodding voice. Persuade me!

No game is worth more than $50 at release. The standard of $60 on release needs to die off.
On a purely personal note - I couldn't agree more!

Good and expected news. I hope that the schedule is: KF2 late 2014, RO3 2015 (speeded up with KF2 money).

You got my pre-order.
