Great research. Nothing to do for me personally tho as I already have in-game steam disabled and run it from SSD, which probably is the reason it never bothered me too much.

Yeah nice find, 80% of my startup time falls off on steam doing "something" at startup.
From clicking play and finishing intro movies there's around ~34sec of waiting but when it has to open main menu game goes to "not responding" state "black screen with music playing" and then I have to wait around 3min for steam to finish something, 30 sec if steam overlay is disabled and that thing is such a pain I don't even know.

Why the developers do not rule, the excessive size of the game, there is little content, and the weight is as much as 75 GB in the absence of normal graphics even. And these debts of loading and the overall severity of the launch of the game are no longer funny.
