So I purchased and downloaded KF2 yesterday. When I went to launch it, nothing happened. So I located the KFGame.exe and set it to run as an admin. I'm met with the following error:

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.

I have tried everything I could: All drivers are up to date, all .NET, direct x, etc, all up to date, I have plenty of HDD space, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game (two times), I've tried replacing .dll files, verify integrity of game cache and a few more methods.

I have searched the far ends of google to find a fix for this. It is the only game/application giving me this error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

We are looking into this error. This generally means something the game requires is missing or corrupt.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I finally found a fix yesterday (it took sometime, but I got it).

Prior to this fix, I had installed all.NET frameworks I could get my hands on, all direct x files too. I found a folder from a youtube video, which I dumped into my syswow64 and system32 folders (they seem/look to be directx files).

After that, I reinstalled the PhysX installation found in the KF2 folder. After that the game ran!

Note: The 0xc000007b error disappeared after I dumped the files from that youtube video, the game still wouldn't run after. Once I reinstalled PhysX, boom!

If you'd like, I could upload the folder if similar users have my problem? I know its a longshot, and missing/corrupted files could vary from user to user.
