1) And that reason maybe possibly be because the price/performance ratio is better than Nvidia's solution that Sony and Microsoft went with AMD.

How is AMD for peasants? Hopefully you realize AMD makes both low end and high end components, just like Nvidia does too. You may be rich, but possibly have no brains.

Looks like it's time to stop talking about AMD vs Nvidia O'clock

I love it, just like PhysX.
I bought exclusively Nvidia cards because Borderlands 2 and Warframe use PhysX and other effects, it makes a huge difference visually.

There is no need to buy an AMD card, ever.

For me there is. My last 2 NVIDIA cards broke rather quickly or were broken from the start. It cost me a lot of nerves and rendered a laptop unusable as there is no replacement.

I will never buy NVIDIA again, they introduce features like this but the product quality is very poor.

How do you manage to break drivers so often, this most likely isn't a fault at NVIDIA's drivers, but in your handling. Did put them under a hammer or something?

Even if they did break, im sure you had some sort of warrant for repairs in hand? No? Well better get one of those next time, helps a lot in the long run and costs like nothing.

The Gameworks effects are pretty sweet. I can't wait to see what's being utilized. Was thinking about moving up to a 970/980 GTX once the KF2 recommended specs are released if it's required.

I am wondering how TWI are doing the flame effects for the flamethrower. I doubt they're using Flameworks and I assume they're doing something similar to what was done in Rising Storm but I don't know much technically about that.

NVIDIA is the ONLY choice for LAPTOP GPU!
AMD's best mobile GPU is R9 M290X, which is nearly equal to GTX 870M. Superior NVIDIA GPUs like 880M and 970M and 980M blows AMD to SH1T.

As with destop GPUs, AMD has got its market on low end. In the market of lower than 1,500 CNY (USD 250), AMD has superior performance than NVIDIA at the same price, at the cost of bigger power consumption. The buddy above has purchased 750ti and I'd like to see if he insists on his choice when he uses R9 270 (assuming that he has sufficient wattage on his PSU).

AMD GPU's biggest problem: Power consumption. High end competition results in overheated R9 290X and that's something consumers won't want to see. Also, this terribly limited AMD's ability at laptops when energy and cooling are problems.

His point is that laptops usually break after 1-2 years or 3 if you're lucky
some of them even have built in redundancy probably. yuck

:pI had a dell inspiron 1427 and the core hardwares never broke from 2009 till now. I admit that it is with the utmost terrible gaming performance (T6400+9300MGS) but breaking? Hell no.

I had a compaq presario 2800 from 2003 and it didn't break till now as well.

It doesn't matter that it's the only choice. Laptops are not great for gaming, their desktop counterparts are much cheaper and have much more power. Laptops are also more prone to overheating and hardware issues in general.

I think the thing that irks me the most about this is because they decided to do this even if they don't WANT to hinder AMD they WILL regardless because of the whole crap Nvidia makes devs do when they use things like gameworks, now AMD can't get any code to help them with any issues or know anything about anything.

Say what you will about AMD but at least they are open minded and sourced and think sharing technologies is the best way to go about it, TressFX anyone, no longer AMD exclusive.

TressFX is terrible and resource hungry. It looks awful in Tomb Raider. For me, framerate is King. I can live without the extra bells and whistles that comes with Gameworks. Anything that takes a huge chunk off performance, isn't worth the tradeoff in my opinion.

It of course depends on whether you can handle that tradeoff or not
I'd feel pretty disappointed having a PC if my friend's PC which had 20% less powerful components could run the game maxed out as well as I could
Adding "bells and whistles" enables the users with enthusiast level rigs to squeeze more out of the game at what might be a disproportionate cost, but a cost that doesn't factor as much for them as it does others
And i'd say that's fine and well seeing as the PC platform is about paying more for prettier and better running games

Well more Nvidia...
... http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/killing-floor-2-graphics-technology-and-gameworks

Still didn't get a answer from devs: will AMD users be able to use SSSSS, HBAO+, Reflections and other things w/o having to pay with reduced performance. Or you have a deal with Nvidia and you want us to play your game without this settings or buy Nvidia card.

I really hope that this work with nvidia will not end up like majority of nvidia games where amd users always suffer.

NOBODY WILL MAKE ME BUY NVIDIA BECAUSE OF EXCLUSIVE GRAPHICAL FEATURES. NOBODY.

And I don't hate Nvidia, I hate those (Ubisoft) who make sure Nvidia owners get more than AMD owners.

No cancer are devs who are responsible for games that work bad on Nvidia, AMD or both graphics cards.

Except for HBOA+ wich is an Nvidia way of doing AO I guess they could implement similar features for other GPUs as well. I am not certian that I would like to use Motion Blur, DoF and Grain since it dumpens the experience of beeing their for my self instead of sitting behind a camera wich is directed by an incarnation of J J A Bay.

Based upon the videos we have seen there were only the latest sceences wich displayed Motion Blur and some cuts were made with SSR on Blood enabled. But so far a can't see real leaps in Image Quality.

As said my gaming daily base would look like this from the known features so far.
1920x1080
High/Ultra
AO off HBAO+ on
Screen Space Reflections SSR on (depends on the cost)
Subsurface Scattering off (adds a nasty blur to the Zeds silhouette)
Bloom off
Motion Blur off
Depth of Field off
Summed area table on (not a must have)
PhysX FleX on (if soft body intestents, additional particles)

GTX 780 Lightning

GTX 780 Lightning

Hi Tripwire staff.
Do you think that my GTX 780 Lightning from MSI can handle with Killing Floor 2 with all settings in ULTRA ???
Nvidia will put any drivers out to improve the game experience ?
Killing Floor 2 will be on Geforce Experience gaming list ?

I hope it will, don't see why it wouldn't run at ultra on your GPU. I can pretty much run all titles @ ultra on my GTX 680. I guess the game will be given the usual treatment and I also assume the title will come under Nvidia's TWIMTBP brand.

This reminds of /g/ with the whole fanboy side #1 vs fanboy side #2

Game looks fantastic, although I do anticipate more improvements in these features for both AMD and NVD Video Card owners.
