KF2(Linux) Epic(heroic) games or Steam

Actually I have KF2 on epic games, but I am using heroic games because Linux. I am not sure how it works the cloud saving in Heroic, but I lost my saving of The Binding of Isaac a few months ago. So I wanted to ask if I should buy KF2 on Steam? I am asking about cloud saving and I also want to know if a friend use steam workshop, can I join and use this mods from Epic games?

Feel free to answer another important things than consider in this situation.

In theory all your stats are saved on the Epic backend, but we do not test with the platform you use so can not speak to anythings that can happen there.

As to modded servers, you can join them, but you will need to download and install the mods outside of steam or the server needs a redirect mod server setup to send you the files.
