... if you want it like the movie, you can do the fog color as grey, and do an xweather emitter as snow, and instead of snowflakes, it can be white and black pieces of ash. ...

I had the movie paused on a foggy scene side by side with the editor, then in game while I made the fog color so it matches very closely. And ash wise there are emitters with custom ash flake textures raining down everywhere. Did you not see them?:confused:

some finding for version 1.2
maybe they allready been fixed cous we haven tested version 1.3 just yet.

- you can walk through the walls of the houses on the left side (some walls dont have blocking volumes)
- you can walk past the zed-spawn at the back of the map(the one with the ramp over the fence) and get behind the spawn (thus not making zeds spawn in the back)
- you can walk arround were the little toilet house is and return to the street by jumping up.

place blocking volumes there and yer done :)

suggestion :

MOAR sirens (not the zed offcourse, the sfx)...maybe every wave would be nice.

Fixed and fixed, thank you. Strange how some houses could be walked through as they all have normal full collision turned on, anyways..As for more sirens I completely agree, in fact I asked for help (http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=76647) on how to do a siren every wave and no one said anything. : (

Version 1-8 up. Added two additional traders, added zed spawners, extended map and fixed trader glitch. I hope everything works : )

there's a few ways to do the air-raid sirens, first you can make a script that plays a siren for a tag, and give it two of them, playing the sound after the 2nd tag call (setup a wait at beginning of trader, and then fire the event at end of trader)

or you can just give the trader doors a closed event, and that calls a sound.

or you can do a timed tag, either using a script, or a controller (how i did the lightning/thunder in danzig)

there's probably even more ways, but thats all i could think of right now.

I initially made this map as a small project to make the cliff part. I never thought I would keep working on it...but it seems to be fairly popular on a handful of cool servers so I will continue to improve it.

The only thing it needs are:
- New "specimen", well, not hard to guess what I mean... nurses would be sweet ;)
- Moar stairs, moar, nightmare-ish styled stuff, moar everything. Feels too much like any random urban map, I'd love to see more "metal" in it :(
- More SH music, the original KF music is fine but I'd rather all be SH-styled ;)
- Story mode :p

Really? This feels like any random urban map? The flesh spire growing out of the center of the town with bodies stuck to makeshift crosses around it. The vast bottomless chasms throughout the map. Magic moving platforms that float in mid air allowing access across said chasms. The house at the end of the bridge trader suspended by nothing floating 100 feet in the air facing the ground. These are things you're used to in other urban maps?

3."More SH music"

SH music cannot be imported for multiplayer as the file size would be enormous and I think there might be some copyright issues.

4."Story mode"

This is not a story map.

BenioX, you really ask a lot of the community, TWI and the modders. I seriously think you should start spending some of the time you use scouring the forums, telling people what they should and shouldn't make, to MAKE SOME S**T YOURSELF.

You took it wrong. I just said what would be nice to be added to make it better, although it is already good imo. Also, I do mods myself, soon will start mapping for L4D2 I suppose, and well, I understand modding isn't easy, especially compatibility, optimalisation and sizes of the mods. As for music from SH it's not that hard to do, but yeah size could be a prob, and I think you should make it optional if you even concidered doing it. I could spend some time sending you over musics from SH. And well, as for copyrights, let's be straight out - if you take no financial benefits from it, they'd not bother ;)

This is exactly why I'm not putting music into it. I want this to be accessible like most other maps. Requiring players to download separate files and place them in the correct folders reduces the number of people that play it significantly, that's a fact. And as I said before putting music into the map makes the file HUGE. There is a trade off of file size vs. how much better the map would be with SH music. Unfortunately I don't see it as a good enough return for the map to have custom music. There is a reason there aren't many maps with custom music. Unfortunate, but that's the way it is. If someone knew a way to have music built into the map that didn't make the file size around 150MB I am all in.

Ok, since I have KF music in my newest version I can make a separate version that has no music with the option to download SH music to be played. This will give people any option they want : )
