After a couple of weeks, my first map is finally done!:D

It's name is SewerControl, as an abandoned sewer control pump station lies underground, far away from tfile:///D:/steamprograma/SteamApps/common/killingfloor/ScreenShots/this.bmphe city.

I intend to post it in the White List as well, but i would like some opinions about it.

Its almost like any other game, you can mod the hell out of most games.
EX: CS, CS.S,TF2,HL,UN2K4 all these games you can map for. soo....yea

But props to TW for making a FUN game with an editor. cause most of those games above get boring after awhile.

I did want to mention I will throw it on my servers so people can give it a try. If you do not have your own clan server or a friends server you can bring friends and play. I have both normal and hard.

Thanks THEDDLE. I would say it's already 1.0, i mean, as i see it, done already. If anything, just to improve it and make it more refined if anything comes up:)

And yes, CSS and other games can be modded, but not as easy or fun as Uengine 2 is and always been, plus, KF has the best graphics i've seen so far in this engine. The last map added, Foundry is very well done, i was impressed with it. I think it's already my favorite stock map

So ok, i have some screenshots now, But i can't figure out how to post them here. I'm new at this kinds of forums, so let's see if this works with the attachment button, if not, feel free to explain it to me instead of making me look bad :confused:

Thanks THEDDLE.

No problem. I use www.imagecave.com for mine. They have free hosting for up to so many pics. I pay for the bigger one. Due to when my group was competing I hosted some of our maps for communication there.

I have not gotten the Normal Server up. It has been full all night so I have not been able to reset it yet.

ok so you need to click the image that looks like a picture then place your direct link in there for the pics to show.

Uhh, why was my user folder posted? uhh nevermind. Ok, thanks for the heads up, also i would like to know what's the name of your server? can i find it on the KF servers list? i would like to check the other maps you host as well

Also I found a little bug in my map, a BSP texture doesn't lit correctly in one of the rooms, it's a floor, and can't fix it even if i redo the room, so it appears entirely black.
Any fixes for it? it's a small room so i didn't noticed, and the bug appeared in the last rebuild before i posted here, that's very annoying:mad:

Hey

If you did zone portals go back and look at them again. I have the problem all the time. Either it is causing a a conflict or out of alignment.

It does have zone portals, but as far as i see they are fine, i don't really know what is causing it or how to clear it
But if it's that I will check it out, just mess a little with the zones and see what happens

I did not see the room that was black just scrolling through the editor. However I did see a couple zone portals that have issues. May be the problem. I also see your aligning them with the wall. I am a new guy also however I believe they need to be in between the wall not aligned with it.

Hello

Hello

Ok I played a few rounds. The curbs are pretty big inside to me on the first level. However that is just me. I only lasted a few waves with another person. To busy trying to explore. I will play more later.

Found a couple exploits right off the bat.

One was in the back of the truck. You can get in and sit on the body bags and only the crawlers really come in. I got a couple screen shots I will try to post later. Also while crouched in the truck do not go to far back into the corner. Once off the body bags in the corner you are stuck.

I went up a big flight of metal stairs off of the main floor. The zeds where stuck at the bottom and could not come up. I could have stayed there however I was trying to find my team mate screaming for help. Did not get to get a screen shot of that sorry.

Over all the map looks cool. Some of the traders are real close to each other right off the start. I know there is a way to assign the order. Might make it so you start on the ground level and have it go a little farther away and back to ground level. Getting people to move around your map. This is what I did in my last map. Put a trader in areas where I wanted people to see and go. I want to say the first 3 times we where on the ground level. Then finally went upstairs.

I like what I saw so far. Like I said did not get to explore much. Due to traders in same area. I liked the room with the water on the floor and the stairs. I went down to check it out and almost died there. I was moving on and my team mate wound up in the same area. Was about to die. I went back to help him and he died. While fighting my way to him I got surrounded and died.

One thing did kinda bug me but it was ok. To many strobing lights in one area. Since they seem to do all the same pattern it kinda throws you off. I like the effect however I did not want to put several in one area due to they are in unisin with eachother. So if I did have them I spread them out or had them far enough apart it did not make the whole room look like it was one big strobe light.

Keep up the good work. Watch for anything you can get in or on. If the zeds can not fit into that area then it can be exploited. If they can not jump on to the same things it can be exploited. I am used to COD games and trying to find places where you can go. If you are used to looking for it you do not have as many. Of course someone always finds one and you go "Hey why didn't I think of that?" LOL

Add this to the Beta section and just not Level Design. You might get a few more people playing it. Plus it will not get buried in Level Design questions.
