My sdk simply closes whenever I try to save a map project, or open one. Well, I can't open something i haven't saved, but when I try to do either action, it just closes on me without saving.
Could be that you don't have the map files in the correct folders, but thats probably unlikely if you can't even save a map.
Try [url]http://wiki.beyondunreal.com/[/URL] for problems with the editor if no one can hlep you round here. It's basically the unreal 2004 editor (ued2).
UnrealEd 3.0, UnrealEngine 2.5. Not that it matters a whole lot.
Do autosaves work? Or does it close automatically after five minutes or so (whenever the autosaves occur)?
Does it just close or is there a message? Can you post your .log?

to tell you the truth, i dont know what any of what u just said means.. lol

it doesnt show a message, it jsut closes. and idk if it autosaves, but even then, i couldnt open an autosaved project, you see?
I do see, but if you had a few auto-saves in your maps-folder we would know if your SDK can save maps at all. So far I don't know what could cause this, which is why I'm trying to gather more info.
Can you please post the content of the file Steam-folder/ steam apps/ common/ killingfloor/ system/ Editor.log? Just open it in notepad and copy its content here or upload the whole file.
