Don't be too hard on TWI. They have an entire other forum of fans for RO, who were less than happy that RO production stopped for KF. The pendulum has swung the other way, for now.

An update on their plans for KF, beyond what was posted after the first of the year, would be nice though.

Remember when the game was a joke because everything was kiteable?
Remember when the Commando was worthless in Suicidal?
Remember the finicky hit detection of the healing injector?
Remember when Berserker was a true W-and-Mouse1 class?

The game has gotten better in the year since its release in every measurable way. People liked it better a year ago because it was new.

since i'm a fan of all TW's games, i'm happy to hear any news for either RO, KF, HOS etc....but the silence is irritating to an extent. you know they are working on some major things, but they don't tell ya until right before it's going to be released. then it's a complete overload of goodies and people are blown away. tbh, people would be blown away regardless. it doesn't take but 2 minutes to come in and post, content for the next update is at 70% completion, 90% completion, release in 2 weeks, etc...at least yoshi's hint indicated some decent news today, monday, so hopefully we'll see some post-easter goodies :D

I'd say remove the M14 EBR, SCAR and AA12. Though the SCAR and AA12 are great weapons, these Tier 3 weapons make the game laughably easy. The EBR encourages ramboing and spamming body shots, the AA12 makes support able to take down the big baddies without teamwork and the SCAR kinda balances out commando.

Remove Tier 3 and the game becomes more of a challenge.

In addition to removing Tier 3 weaponry, i say add a plethora of Tier 1 and 2 weapons. Are bullpups, shotguns, katanas and flametrhowers all that you could scrounge up? Probably not.

The removal of Tier 3 and the addition of extra Tier 1 and 2 weapons would be fine for balance.

OMFG that was so annoying. Going through the motion over and over again until you finally heal someone.

I was so happy with that update and also the one where they fixed the headshot boxes and the netcode.

I agree some of the newer weapons are a little OP, but suicidal is still difficult with them, so I feel alright about the damage. If anything, I'd reduce clip sizes/count - that's it.

I do have to admit I do partly miss the 50% speed bonus lvl5 medic had originally. Obviously it made kiting very easy among other things, but it was sort of guilty pleasure to play around with it.

Not a bad idea, remove the God weapons and add more standard weps applicable to a wide range of scenarios.
Very good idea !
Thats why now days ago , im playing only "NO-Trader" much more fun :D
because you cant buy any Tier 3 ( or any weapon )
But if they remove AA12 , SCAR and M14 , so remove the m32 too ? ( thats a little unfair leaving the Demo with only 1 weapon (M79) and stupidy bombs)
Tell me what ya guys think about the demo !!!

See ya

The only thing I really miss is the threat that scrakes and Fleshpounds used to possess...they feel so weak now.

I kinda miss the fp decap, I was really good at it :p Not that it matters anymore...they are so easy to kill.

Really? I sort of feel the opposite is true. I remember playing this early on when the Firebug could kite the Fleshpound and light him on fire, letting him burn just a little but keeping him from getting enraged.

Fleshpounds were laughably easy before they just started randomly ****ting bricks and flying into a rage at the drop of a hat, I think.

Sounds like a nice idea for a mutator but not the main game.

I normally play on suicidal and the zombies go down pretty easilly since suicidal players know what they are doing.

But when I joined a Hard game everyone got slaughtered  its an FP!!! "Run to the Hills".

It really was anarchy. I guess really all us Suicidal players would just like Suicidal to be harder

taking away guns is not the best strategy imo. you don't add something to the game and then just take it out because there's some slight balancing issues.

EBR for example, as a gun concept itself wasn't a bad idea, but i think they made the mistake of using the "battle rifle" model instead of the one used by actual snipers which would make more sense for a sharpshooter. additionally they also gave the SS class additional weapons in the handguns for damage and leveling. so for this particular weapon, they could replace it with a better suited version of the weapon instead of removing it completely. they could also add the proposed gunslinger perk to take away handguns from the SS class.

point is, you can keep everything you added, but you just have to tweek things for better balance. another good way for doing that is adding more features and there's been tons of good suggestions in the forums that would improve overall gameplay. good thing is the game will eventually get another real update and hopefully we'll see it improved even more.

i liked how hard the game used to be but i wouldn't go back because A: the game will more than likely be patched to be harder in the future and B: the husk is amazing

You're ignoring the fact that they picked the absolute worst time to start ignoring KF, and they won't even tell us when they plan to get back to it.

Could hardly call it ignoring, its more its been put on the backburner. I mean if TWI was a full on 200 staff game developer then yeah its fair to expect work to come thick and fast like it does in say TF2. But TWI has a small team of developers... awesome developers but a small team none the less.

Its unreasonable to expect them to churn out update after update after update when they simply don't have the manpower to develop a new game and release updates for 2 other titles at the same time.

I'll be quite happy with the 2 T shirts I ordered for now :)

what they said. twi is a small company and can't be working full time on all of their games. that's just how it is. don't just assume they would start ignoring one of their best selling games. it's been put to the side for a while.

They could always just be made weaker in power if so many of you think they're really that OP. Why is removal the only option? I really like these weapons and I'm sure some programmers at Tripwire would be hurt to think someone just wants them to REMOVE the weapons they put work into and then to top it off, make new ones.
