This is the downtown map from Land of the Dead Road to Fiddlers Green.

Finally you made a better version of this map. I was really waiting for this update. Thank you acidchalk!

After a playtest I found some problems in this great map.

Improvement ideas
1) Remove the weird fuzzy, blurry, smoky effect from the map which has been there since the first version. I played the map with my friends and it only caused headache. The vision is much better when you are dead. If you are trying to make the overall lightning dark, do it locally - not globally with some cheap fog/smoke effect. Otherwise, just remove it. (This is important!)
2) There is still an exploit near the trader who drops the ladders. You cannot jump on the roof anymore (which is excellent) but you CAN jump on the door frame near the ladders. Of course, mutants cannot reach you there anymore. Simply increase the size of the blocking volume. Door frames are important details which make the map look good.
3) You have clearly done something with the pathing when the players are on the truck. The most of the mutants can get on the truck but there is still a spot where the mutants don't usually reach you. If you stand on the other edge of the truck, the mutants fall down before they can reach you and start climbing on the truck again. It is probably too hard to make the pathing work perfectly. That's why I recommend that you add a blocking volume there, so the players could not climb on the truck at all.
4) This is just a matter of taste but we did not like the music.
5) There is one ammo spawn near the trader with the ladders which cannot be picked up. The ammo box is clearly visible but players cannot pick up the ammos. Fix this, please.
6) To make the map harder, you could make the planks between the buildings more narrow. Careless players would fall when they tried to walk between the roofs.

I've got no clue how to get rid of that fuzzy effect o_O hehe i didn't even mean for it to be there. I'll fix that exploit on the door frame tonight. ah jeez that truck lol it's so fun being up on it though =( i don't want to block it off so i'm going to see what else i can do. The ammo i can fix. If i make the planks smaller the zombies tend to fall... they fall off the edge when walking towards you at an angle as it is. As for the music, I went with the origional soundtrack of the game this came from.

And yeah i am working on another map from this game =).

Oh, right. I didn't realize that zombies fall so easily but I understand now when you mention it.

The music is from the game? Oh, ok. I guess nothing then. Not your fault. Music isn't a big problem anyway. I can always turn it off if I don't like it.

I understand if it is getting boring to work on the same map a long time and the work is getting best of you. Still, I hope you could gather some strength to finish this potentially damn good map first and begin another one after it. Working with two maps at the same time isn't doing good for either one.

make a KFzombiezonevolume ladder that only blocks zombies not player so zombies can easly walk upthere! around the truck it might look a bit strange but atleast players cant camp up there or you can make them jump down from one of the buildings.:)

I never said i made it only that i ported it. It's no secrets as stated above it's from land of the dead road to fiddlers green. Obviously i get 0 credit all i did was port it.

I'm not too sure but I think this new Version has a rather buggy Zombie spawn.
Recently I noticed that at some point there were barely to none zombies spawning during a wave, never saw that happening on the older version.

Well i'm taking a break to work on another map from scratch for obvious reasons but when i get done with that i'll come back to this and fix it all once and for all. I'll even make a nice little text file for credit and all that good stuff ;). But for now a map must be made... =p

Oh no! Not that, me being shirty! hahah.

As for the headline: "This is the downtown map from Land of the Dead Road to Fiddlers Green." That doesn't really account for anything. You can make all forms of maps based on other games and mods, but by the way he has it presented in this forum it seem's as if he's taking credit for making the whole map, instead of just a port. Understand?

I don't know what "This is the downtown map from Land of the Dead Road to Fiddlers Green" could mean aside from the fact that it is This is the downtown map from Land of the Dead Road to Fiddlers Green.... Anyway... to clear this up once and for all, i did NOT i repeat DID NOT make this map i only ported it. I take no credit for it what so ever as all i was trying to do was learn unreal while porting a map. Thank you and lets move along with life because i really don't care.
