KF Gameplay problem

I set up KF on my dads computer, when he joins an internet game or even a LAN game we set up it just freezes up on him, it won't let him select his perk and he can't see other peoples perks. Can someone please help me?

UPDATE- Ok it let's him choose his perk now, however he cant get any experience and he has to rechoose his perk every game change.

Is he on Windows 7 or Vista? He may need to be running Steam and/or KillingFloor.exe(located in Steam/SteamApps/common/killingfloor/system) as Administrator.

We fixed it, we first tried verifying cache file, that didn't work, so we had to reinstall it and now it works fine, so now if someone else has the same problem try doing what we did and that should fix it.
