Ok hi @ all. As you might know i am working on a new map. I desided to release a beta1 version of it yet. The map is full playable and got everything in so far but it got also alot hiding, camp spots in it and i wont call it ready. Also it might be to easy to win at moment and i think i retexture and rework all bamboos and falling ways. But as a beta i think its ok to give you an idea what i work on. Its more a funmap . You can shoot that bamboos :). Special thx for the emitter help and light to leon.

Very cool, I like how lush everything looks in those screens. Also, my laptop's FPS thanks you for not going crazy with foliage. I think you put just enough in to indicate that it's a jungle/forest-y type setting without going overboard.

Also, CHICKENS! :D

Im glad it runs well in fps on ya labtop. I was a bit scared it might suck in fps cause the map turned out bigger then i first planed it. I also set the distance fog a bit closer in the end, then i had it at start. I guess that made alot in fps but still got a nice view somehow. :)

I doesnt matter how big your map is, you can always optomise it to run. Just wait till you see candle smoke. Multiple forest areas, VERY high fps, even with all the trees and Detail that's going on

on the stream there are problems with zone fog, the sky suddenly turns blue and theres something invisble in the water that makes you hop. theres also pathing problems. but the chickens were cooll.

needs decolayer, needs boulders too. and japanese sounds.

Well i played it. Had a lot of fun. Do not let the Husks get you. Out in the open you are a pretty good target.

I did not find an exploits per say. The chickens need slowed down just a little when they go berserk. LOL.

The sky was great. Loved the birds, Hawks?, soaring up high.

The fog seemed a little light in color. Like to bright. What I mean is the zeds are all dark like they are in a shawdow. Everything else is bright and the fog is bright. Personal opinion pick just a hair darker green. Try knocking each color down 5. This will keep the even green just make it darker.

I thought the floating around might be an exploit. The zeds seem to loose track of you a little. I soon found out after awhile you start to die. Like you are running out of air. So good job on that. It should keep most people out of that for exploits.

I was looking for falling trees. Never found them.:(

I like the terrain. Seemed like a couple more spots could use a little grass. Mostly around the trees. Not much however.

Over all great map Shiniobi. Keep up the good work.

I think the blue part was to make you feel like you where underwater. Which I found myself floating around. I never got the hop issue. I did however like killing zeds and find them floating with me. LOL.

thx for the feedback.

I agree to most stuff you guys pointed out and will keep it in mind when i rework the map to beta2.

thx for uploading it to your server DDLE i just played it a bit (died at patriach) but it did run better then i thought online and wasnt that easy. Still at the bamboo house i need to get better fps somehow. For the bamboo you can shoot every 1 in the map without the once behind the terrain (them background). You just need a weapon with enough WOOMS and aim it high enough. They got hp. I also plan on given them diffrent hp, like the bigger once would then be harder to shoot or only with a better weapon. ;)

Played again last night. We had fun with it. You might put some spawns on top of the hills. You can basically camp a couple spots.

The biggest issue I found was the trees. When they are down sometimes zeds can not get around them. Plus you can get up on to some of trees and zeds do not follow.

At one point we went hunting for a couple we had left. It was the clot twins. Just floating in the stream. You could walk up to them and they where so relaxed they just stood there. LOL. So we killed them.

Below is a pic of the trees and where you can sit on one of them. At this point we died trying to go around and knock over all the trees. It was fun to watch them fall. Timber.

We played this last night with 5 people and it was certainly something new, good job on the whole. The highlights were chopping down trees to teamkill each other and try to squish sirens.

One problem we had was serious FPS drop in one corner of the map. I wish I had taken a screenshot to show exactly where, suffice to say I have a new PC that has never shown a noticeable drop in FPS on Killing Floor, and at this point in the map it got so choppy that the whole team died.

I really like the mood of this map. Its really nice to play somewhere else instead of tunnels, labs or demolished citys once in a while^^
a few suggestions:

- The chickens are very buggy, perhaps dont make them collide with enemys and players
- when standing in deep water enemys wont attack you
- Put japanese music in it. something like this:

hello there mr. kingshinobi ;)
i just played this map on 50 player server for very first time (i know, shame on me :( )
i must say it was sooooo fun that most guys there couldn't play because of the fun and laugh we had on the map :D ( my first swing with katana to the bamboo tree, killed 3 guys + myself,didn't expect it will cut down and kill someone :D ) so after i finished playing i had to upload this map to my servers :p
I was just wondering if you planning on updating the map and maybe submiting it on whitelist? If you need a server where to test the map i can upload newer version and test it with few friends anytime,
if not ,thanks for making this one ,its really fun to play on it ;)

Still dont know if thats possible. I mean i would do but there is one problem with the map that i dont know how to fix for the whitelist: The bamboo trees are mover and once they fall down the speciment wont notice them as in their path so they might not move around them. Thats the thing with mover i think speciment act bad on them what you see also if they touch a chicken they stop. ;)

yea i noticed that ;) also few zeds getting stuck inside the water - when you spawn and go right and follow the "river" there is like deep water (about 50-65 feet from the spawn) and zeds get stuck there

for the trees ,i have no idea if it would be possible to do it or not,so i just shoot blind..
you know when the bamboo tree is shooted down, let it fall and than let it disappear after few seconds (same like the money disappears ,or respawn it?)

and yea lol those chickens are my protectors :D ,
idk jump pad? so the zeds can jump over the whole chicken area?

well anyway,the map is fun, whitelisted or not
and every time i go and choose to play this map ,the server fills up before the round is over, which is always good ;)

I think the biggest problem with the map is the water. It's far too easy to exploit and break the pathing of all the specimens when all you have to do is hop in for a moment. Even after I get out, it takes most of them 20-30 seconds to resume chasing.

If the water current movement is what causes the problem, remove that part. You could also add the ability for deep water to extinguish flame / prevent flame for a fun twist. The simplest solution, however, would be to remove the deep water altogether.

As for the fallen bamboo trees, they could despawn after a few seconds like beerhead suggests, or you could try and get the specimens to recognize it as hostile and attack & destroy them. If you do make the fallen trees de-spawn, you should consider re-spawning them each wave (or on a timer), so the map doesn't become too empty.

Seeing a raged FP bust through a bunch of fallen bamboo trees like they were nothing would be awesome...
