While this is a nice environment, there's only one trader eliminating the need to move around the map. There's a LOT of stuff that's cool to see. The Pizza Hut and Arcade areas on the top floor are nice, but no one'd really get the need to move up there since the trader's on the bottom floor. All in all, there just needs to be more traders.

I thought this too. Is this just a Shinobi map type of thing because on the Arcade-Action one or whatever there was just one trader.

All in all, its pretty fun but maybe get two more traders in, like perhaps one trader shop could be an upstairs store thats got bars over the windows so she still has the appearance of being safe in a realistic way. Also, maybe you could add a trader shop somewhere behind the stores on the back side of the mall to kinda encourage the moving around. All in all, its a nice map and just a few changes would really help bring it to life. Perhaps somewhere down the line a mapper could come in and actually add some things to shoe stores and so on where its just flat?

I noticed monsters will get stuck on the 2 ends on the lower level. If the glass doors are open sometimes a zombie or 2 will get stuck there and walk in circles forever.

Other than that i've had this map on my server and its all people want to play. :p

Thanks for the comments guys. I'll add some more traders around today and fix that bug with the circling zombies that happens with the glass doors today to ;)

Question, I want to upload and play it on my server and redirect the rom. What do I do with the textures? Do I put them directly in my maps folder or do I put the texture folder in it?

Anyone know the answer to this? Or do they not redirect? (which would make this rather annoying)

I don't even think it's required. I had it on my server but clients never downloaded it. Also, I can run the map locally without the texture file and it plays fine.

He did credit Shinobi for the work. As long as he isn't claiming the work as his own, why would a modder care if their content was updated and kept relevant?

Maybe Shinobi wants to update his work by himself? How are people gonna know which is original then if there's 2 maps with the same name, one by author, another by some converter.

Well assuming he does want to update his own maps, he hasn't appeared to put much effort forth so far. I'd rather have "some converter" convert the maps now, even if Shinobi comes by later and redoes them too as opposed to sit on my thumbs waiting for maps.

Got to play it a little with a few players and here are my impressions:

The map is very large. Maybe even too large... it's awesome that there are two floors but maybe you could make it a little smaller and playable. You should also add some ammo crates, more weapons and money because it's really difficult right now. Also, you should fix the trader door because it does not close properly.

I loved the skateboard thingy and the stores, and overall it's a great map and you really did a wonderful job, but it needs some improvements. Maybe deleting some of the tunnel-like areas?

you didn't test the map Half-Dead
because there is missing statics and trader's door always opened and there is some places blocked and screwed.

I'll fix those anyway later
