Just no for the Kevlar Helmet:

The point of the Siren is that her special attack can kill you without the need to go through your armor first. Adding something to block this pretty much makes the siren useless.

Additional armor maybe worth looking into but only to raise your health and nothing more.

And why a Kevlar Helmet? a pair of fluffy pink ear muffs would do the job better.


NO for the Firebug Torch:

The flamethrower is an amazing weapon which easily dominates the zombies and its only downside is the limited fuel which isn't a big deal if you conserve it.

The firebug is only weak against the heavy units which are almost immune to fire so he can't really have a tier 3 weapon just for the heavies which is fire related.

I'd rather have beartraps which can slow down the heavies while you wipe out the smaller units. This slow down will help your team mates (co-op game remember).

scrake traps that do some fire damage would be nice, and in pink..

I'd say having it dual wieldable would mean its combined weight is too heavy to carry with the flamethrower. So its 2x blowtorch or blowtorch and FT.

Kevlar helmet... thats actually an interesting idea. Although to modify your suggestion a little to give it a more practical use, it only minorly reduces the damage of the Sirens scream, and for other specimens it reduces on screen effects when the player gets hit. To balance it we could add that sounds from specimens are slightly quieter, so it requires more awareness.

Not sure I'd want it implemented, but its food for thought at least

It's a good suggestion, but I have to say, Firebugs don't need new and exciting ways to pick off small ZEDs, they were excellent at it before, and so is every other class. What they need is some way to deal damage or otherwise contribute to killing Scrake / FP (currently the flames just piss them off) and preferably do it without obscuring them from the team's vision.

As for the full helmet, I'd be all for buyable accessories such as these in order to add more depth to the game.
