Installed it but I was worried when I saw the low pixel loadings. Also the building hall makes my GPU go 100% (even the most demanding games don't do that:eek:) so temp and fan go wild.

But it is indeed a very, very funny game:D
Definately :IS2: worthy!

Anybody can mod it so we can send IS2 to space?

After I managed to shoot out into the depths of space a couple of times I have now made it my mission to build a craft with boosters (damn those things are HARD to attach properly) that'll get me out in space and still have enough fuel left to send me back down again.

They didn't quite break orbit, but that's the highest I've gotten without doing so. I need to try to actually do an orbit and landing.

The rocket that got me there was a three stages;

1. 6 x Solid Fuel, 3 x SAS
2. 3 x Liquid Fuel, 6 x Fuel Tank, 3 x SAS
3. 1 x Liquid Fuel, 1 x Fuel Tank, 1 x SAS

It could have been better, the rocket had some really bad gyro which I struggled to control during the second stage. I'm still trying to work out how de-couplers work, I thought they were meant for attaching rockets to the side of each other but haven't found a way to achieve this yet.

HOLY SH!T .. hahaha :eek::D

How do you stack so many couplers.. the damn thing just clips down into the floor when I'm building it.

More to the point, Bob, how do you get the damn thing to stay standing up straight? I had one yesterday that was 3 stages tall, you could see the thing wobbling on the launch pad. Hit the launch button, and it never even left the ground - just tipped over and skittered around like a bottle rocket on the driveway.

ROFL! I've had a couple of huge builds that didn't take off either.. funny stuff.

Oh god... this has the potential of becoming the next Stairs Dismount, as in posting results and trying to one-up them.

Yeeeeah, I think I'm gonna let Bob have this one. There's no way I'm gonna sit there for 8 hours tryin' one up that :rolleyes::D

Stabilizing boosters.

Also, at T+ 9 hours, 10 minutes, 50 seconds, the Bobdog 2 is at an altitude of 32,346,914 meters.

What's your velocity? I just broke orbit and it's pretty much stabalized at a little above 3000m/s.

Watching my poor little guys disappearing into the cold depths of space, brings to mind the song Satellite 15/The Final Frontier.

800.8 m/s. My top speed was only ever 2949.1, so you'll probably get farther than I will. Gravity drops off quite a bit, but it is still there. I'm decelerating at a rate of -.00357143 m/s/s; I'll let the mission go to 12 hours and then call it off; I think if I left it long enough my capsule would eventually fall back to earth, but that would take forever (days? weeks?).

Ok, I have called an end to the flight of Bobdog2. Final Stats:

Mission Time: 12 Hours, 10 minutes
Altitude: 40,780,000 meters (40,780 kilometers)
Still coasting at a speed of 768.1 m/s

Stats:
Spoiler!

Notice that my final boosting stage didn't return to earth until 11 hours after launch.

The Bobdog2 in all its splendor:
Spoiler!
