Who needs a katana when I've got my trusty Fatknife with me? :D
This is a simple guide on how to use the sooo underrated Machete!
I used the machete on suicidal with level 5 zerker, so other perks may need different approaches, but I'm pretty sure they may do about the same stuff on lower difficulties! :)
So far I've been able to get to wave 10 (suicidal) dying 2 times (the last one being on wave 10, when we all died and lost), so it can't be that bad, right? ^^

First, what is the Fatknife capable of? In short, instakilling everything except Scrakes and Siren (and Patty, but who cares? :D).

- Clot: either a normal attack to the head or an alt-attack to the body for an instakill.
- Stalker: alt or normal attack, makes no difference: instakill (you get instakill only with alt attack if you're not level 5 zerk though).
- Crawler: just like the stalker, but pay more attention to these: strafe, let them jump and kill them when they land.
- Gorefast: this one is a bit tricky to instakill, because whenever they get too close they won't get decapped by even alt attack: the trick is to get the right timing and strike a pair of moments before they get sticked to you with alt attack for instakill (either way it's usually 2 alt attacks).
- Bloat: alt attack to the head: bloat explodes.
- Siren: you are either fast and get her while she's chasing a teammate or you have to wait her behind a corner, then alt attack her 3-4 times.
- Scrake: he can be stunned by alt attacks to the head, so keep hitting it until he bloody dies!
- Fleshpound: like with any other weapon, wait for him to bow down for attacking and poppy head (tm) him!
- Patriarch: never meleed Patty on suicidal, Xbow does the job right... :)

The Machete works better in open maps like KF-Farm or KF-DeathBasin (just like any other melee weapon, afterall); the best backup weapon to use is the Xbow for taking out pesky Sirens and Scrakes from afar (and Patty, but who cares? :D): yes, the Xbow is the backup weapon for the Fatknife (expecially for non-zerkers) and not the opposite, remember! :)

Using this instead of the Katana is also good for conserving money (yes, you won't use them for buying a Katana later, but it's good for teammates, isn't it? ;)) because it costs just 100
