First a video of deep Kar98K Action.

Red Orchestra 2 Heroes of Stalingrad Closed Beta Gameplay - YouTube

Ok a few facts and a few questions. Lets start with the Facts.

From what I have seen in the videos, the Clip/Hand loaded rifles will have both options, depending on what your player is equipped with.

'nother fact: In this video you can see the Cleaning rod attached, unlike ROOST.

Question: How will the bayonet work with this? Is it like ROOST and the bayonet is removed/attached in combat? If so that would require the removal of the Cleaning Rod animation, which I have yet to see.

So I'm guessing at this point that the Bayonet is set pre-game by the player. I may be wrong that's why I am asking.

I still hope you need to attach it manually. hopefully it still affects the gun, but even if it did not...
Sometimes its nice to have less pointing out for people to see.

Nice video, hadn't seen it before. It should dispel any fears being voiced of smgs dominating the game. It is clear that with a good player the rifle can just as easily dominate as it could in RO1.

You only load using a stripper clip when you use all 5 rounds, if you reload before that you load single rounds into the rifle untill you fill it up to 5 its the same with the Nagant.

No, no. Doesn't the K98 allow bullet chambering?

Wish I could give Pics, but the Bayonet actually has a hole where cleaning rod fits when the bayonet is socketed on the rifle. Cleaning rod does NOT have to be removed from the rifle for any reason, especially to equip the bayonet.

This is somewhat intuitive. After all, once the order to fix bayonets is given, is one man in four going to hold all the cleaning rods? "Scheisse, Fritz had all the rods and took a bullet about a mile back. My bolt won't open from all the carbon buildup, guess we're all screwed." And so on... ;)
