curious, for hosting dedicated servers for KF2 will it be the same procedures as Killing Floor 1?

I think it'll be an easier process. Making a dedi server in KF1 was kinda difficult and confusing.

I hope so. Gonna see what vanilla offers first before putting mods in. Hopefully the scoreboard and antiblock will be official and mapvote difficulty too

One thing I'd love to see, is selectable options. For example people can vote on diff, pass. FF, muts, etc. I use marco's vote handler but that doesn't deal well with large combinations of muts and passwords and FF and.... etc.

What is hard on setting up a KF server? It is as simple as all other gameservers I set up in my life. command line to install, command line to launch, some ini to tweak, and a webadmin....

Yea I know, however it took a while before it was standard though throughout the game. I mean unless you had antiblock mod you always ran the risk of someone blocking the trader. I just hope KF2 will have these things standard and no mod is needed that was what I was trying to say earlier.

Well since the game is going to be running on the UE3 engine you can expect the process to be extremely similar to the current process for setting up a server.

Just go start a UT3 server to get an idea.

Hint: It's almost identical to starting any Unreal Engine servers.

IMHO, setting up Unreal Engine servers are a lot easier than most.

I've had far far easier luck setting up UE game servers than source ones. Source ones generally tend to be a pain in the dick. Yes, CS:GO, I'm looking at you.
