Just Curious on Unlocks--Would You Go Back?

I absolutely do not care about unlocks, end of story :) I'm somewhat low-level still with most weapons, as I put in limited hours of play. So right now I'm using base-level weapons, and doing OK with them. Quite frankly, if I'm still using those same weapons (minus unlocks) further down the read, I'm 100% happy with that.

In fact, if my favourite weapons were to suddenly find themselves with annoying sights, scopes and upgrades that I couldn't remove, I'd be pretty pissed off about that, and will probably put RO2 on the shelf at that point.

The system is, unfortunately, rubbish. It's a good example of something that TWI wanted to put in the game, but had nowhere near enough time to finish. It needs to be fixed, or removed :) I don't care for unlocks, or upgrades. I don't care about stats, because I have enough of a feeling when I'm playing, about how valuable I am to my team. I know when I'm playing crap, and when I'm playing well - and really don't want to spend time reading stats and improving, over and above that.

It takes billion year to unlock stuff, why would I need unupgraded versions?
i so wanted to give you a negative to that statement. i held back though. you must have so little hours in the game, it's not funny. "stuff" gets unlocked all the time. i'm avoiding even picking up the mkb, after i stab the former user, just to avoid it's unlock!

unlocks are the worst ting to ever happen to computer gaming!

i played cod mw3 the other day cause my son aked me to play with him. after ten minutes i asked him why everyone was making me their b$%ch. he said i needed to level up. why in the world would any dev in their right mind, make a game that makes the noobs nothing but cannon fodder? codmw3 is an extreme examplw, but it serves the purpose fine!

get rid of the unlocks! every office has a trash bin. bin this a.s.a.p.

I posted couple times in the suggestion forum for client side options to turn the weapon leveling off and ranking off.
I could care less about this system

Two questions:

#1 - If you don't like the weapon unlocks, why not just play on the UnRanked Servers?

#2 - If you don't like the weapon unlocks, why not just reset your stats from time to time in your console?

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm just honestly curious as to why these options are not used by players who don't want weapon progression, since it seems most of the unlocks are unlocks none of you want anyways. :confused:

I have no issue with having an in-game option for people to select to disable weapon progression and leveling up, even though I wouldn't use it (though I imagine others would)..... but the above two available options accomplish the same thing in the meantime. Then you can play any class and with any weapon you wish without having to worry about that weapon popping a tiny scope on top to block your vision.

You must be playing some other game.
Unlocking the MkB probably requires several days' worth of playing the game non-stop on the quite rare assault class.

Unlocking the widely derided double mag on MP-40 should take at least 25*62 = 1550 kills. Since this is not Unreal where 220 kills per hour are the norm, it'll take a long time.
