Infantry animation worst in RO2 and better in RO1

I love RO:Ost, and I have started playing DH because of the much better tank feeling (WASD turret control etc).

But the infantry controls and movement in RO2 is very good. Going prone is nice. Jumping above walls is nice. It is a old feature, even CoD2 have had it, but TWI have done a good job here.

Of course I prefer IOM because of No-zoom, dynamic movement, more uniforms, better sound and weapon handling etc...

But really... TWI have done a good job with the infantry animation. I was hoping to see my own legs and body, but okay...

And If you play a good looking map the graphic looks good enough for a game of 2014. Of course it could be much better, but graphic isn

Yes, I agree. The movement speed in RO2 "realism" is too high. Level 0 and 1 running speed is perfect.

This is why I have prefer classic (before IOM was released), because the running speed there is perfect after the last big classic update.

But to the MGs I have to say: They aren

@Krator
Mostly you can move your deployed MG with button A and D to the sides.
Also in windows.

This bug, where server switch to a new map and you are the first, but unable to choose your side and seeing how others come in for taking, its known also by me.
Thats simply a mouse-rage-clicking for hoping to join the team.

As to your statement that RO + all Addons is not played: try it again.
Maybe only with MareNostrum you are right (unfortunally).
I also play RO1 intensively, cause RO2 lacks of maps in amount.

Random shells are only in Stalingrad-Kessel I believe. And? War is hell!

When you are behind something with the cover-system, you can look out and shoot?
So you parts of your body are visible. I even dont use cover system, its mostly even better to hide in the depth of a room.

About graphics:
RO1 has nicer maps, cause of the love for the details. But RO2 is at all more pretty to watch. Taste is nothing to argue with really.
The animations improved I would say.

Give it a chance, nobody stop you to switch from RO1 to RO2 and back to RO1 when you feel whats needed by you.

You should switch often back to RO1, cause its more difficult.
As I got RO2, I played it almost 1 year, just few times RO1. As I went back some day....I felt like a beginner again.:D

I can only think of ONE map where "random" arty can be a chore.

If you attack on Gumrackstation and stay to the rightside of the map, push Forward to the little stonewall that gives you view on behind the bunkers.
Stay there for "too Long" and you get shelled out of the blue..very anoying and not needed.
