They had always said that if they felt RS was good enough they would bring it in house and polish it up before they release it, which is exactly what they are doing right now. It's not like this is exactly out of the blue.

I know, but I didn't think in house meant the entire RO2 team would work on it. It just sucks looking back how they interacted with us before Release/GOTY and afterwards.

Neither did I. Not that I'm knocking the RS team, I appreciate their work and look forward to the release. I also look forwward to the other mod releases, some of them even more than RS. Perhaps there is a business reason behind TWI's decision to put the whole ROHOS team behind the RS release, I don't know.

It just sucks looking back how they interacted with us before Release/GOTY and afterwards.

A little interaction would go a long long way. It was present in the past and I thought it contributed to much good will with the community.

I can only relate to where I work (flooring store):
a) keep customers informed of backorder delays/let them know you are working on solutions to problems with installs or materials and they are generally happy/satisfied
- or -
b) ignore them or keep them in the dark and they are calling or coming in the store and causing you grief.

We try to go with a) all the time if possible :D

This is like a bad joke. RO2 is still bugged like hell and you spent few months on fixing six totally useless things? You really disappointed me.

Complaining about missing content and communication to the community is one thing, but claiming that this game is still "bugged like hell" is simply not true. I'm not sure what you like to call a "bug", but there's actually a more or less widely accepted definition of a bug ;)

Although it's legit to "complain" about missing contents or simply decisions that were made e.g. to the game modes, but to be honest they did a good job on fixing several bugs and more importantly the overall performance of the game.

True. "Bugged like Hell" is over the top.

I rarely encounter actual bugs and if I do I probably don't notice them. I'm not saying there aren't any but exagerating them doesn't help either.

This thread has just turned into bickery but I hope you guys can see why.

I'm not going to go on a long rant, but I just don't see the RO2's team total focus on RS a good thing. They have their own team, the only thing I would expect is technical support. Kind of feel like we're losing contact here guys. Ramm and Wilson barely post here anymore, dev responses are rare and often the same. WWAUTs haven't been seen in ages either, from someone who's lurked since it was announced I have to say that the interaction between us is far and spread thin.

Good luck on your other projects though, new IP and what not.
Indeed, it has been mind boggling to see TWI drop RO2 support altogether in favor of working on Rising Storm. I really have to wonder what the point of Rising Storm having a separate dev team is -- did they really sign up to develop a game that would eventually be taken over completely by another studio? They had free reign to design RS until the last year, and now it seems it's a 100% TWI project. Obviously the RS team is still working on it, but it clearly appears they have taken a back seat to TWI.

Gee, it would be nice if TWI could finish RO2 and fix the many major bugs that still plague it (http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=78691), and deliver content like the Dynamic Campaign that was promised AT LAUNCH. One of the big reasons I bought RO2 was for that dynamic campaign. Instead, they're taking the fastest route to new money (much in the same way with KF recently) rather than finishing what remains unfinished. I'm glad that much of the community is clearly seeing through this trend, but it doesn't quell the disappointment.

Not saying they shouldn't fix bugs but some are really hard to fix. Others they can't reproduce so they can't find the source of the problem.

SP:
- some missions in SP doesn't work and some others can't be comleted
- weapons are too weak in SP (sometimes you have to shoot three bullets in head to kill someone

MP:
- spawning problems when you change classes
- smoke grenade disappears if you hold it too long in you hands
- third MG34 magazine has less ammo than it should have
- fences in Spartanovka
- floating grenades on ground
- floating dead bodies from prone-death
- game drops very often since the GOTY patch
- can't join from spectator

TANKS:
- stucked with tank when you hit an obstacle
- AI always switching ammo to AP in tank
- visible floating tank crew but with no tank
- sometimes you can't hit the turret because shells just go through

and many more...

Well what are you complaining about? Mid of last year we were shown a nice video where the devs were "interviewed" assuring us that they've learned from their mistakes and promised to work even harder.

Then again: "What do I care about what I said yesterday?"

hello,

now its the min. 10 times i was in top 5. (last match first place), that i get banned from the server. How we should level the pioneer, if we get always session banned. iam not really care, which place iam. but i still want to finish that level stuff. so please help us to bring in once to end. or turn the complete level system off.

i totally tired of playing it again and again. TOTALLY.... Turn of the TK for Backpackes of the Pio. Please!!!!


its not only a problem that the NP function doesnt work well. nobody knows how to open console and type in say np. but still if this is fixed, it isnt enough.

See Tripwire, like I posted in the forums, I don't want to sound like a smartass but the leveling system is a very stressful and useless thing. Really what's the point of having it, nobody likes it and it is also very stressful, (only I know how much time I spent leveling the AVT 40 to level 50). Useless time spent killing bots and making uses of glitches existant on certain maps so that I would be able to get the attachemnts without having to worry myself.

The symplest solution remove leveling and make a survey to see what mode should be added that people would play it mostly so in that way we wouldn't have to worry about any certain problems related to people complaining or abandoning the game.

Really how could someone love it is the most outrageous downgrading ideea for an Red orchestra game it completely ruins the spirit ostfront got us used with but more important and it makes for unrealisitc gameplay I'm talking about snipers with bayonet and super low recoil and super human speed which you reach when you have max level. So what's good in it?

As a clan and server admin I can tell you that the leveling system is really welcomed for most of the players, even in Classic.
Removing the leveling system would result in less players.
Personally I like the leveling system too, but I'm a Classic-Only player ;)
