I took these a couple days ago they are kind of sad. Here is the backstory to these pics:

I was in Miami, and I was visiting my grandparents for a couple of hours before I went to my uncle's place. I noticed there were kittens in the backyard. It turns out they were strays and the momma cat just so happened to choose this backyard for her litter. The momma cat was really pissed when I came over and was hissing at me. I sat down about 5 feet or so and just waited patiently for 30 minutes while taking loads of pictures and videos. Eventually the momma cat decided I wasn't a threat and let me get close enough to pet her kittens. She eventually approached me and I wasn't sure what she was going to do but then she rubbed up against and let me pet her.

The kittens all looked malnourished and I felt really bad for them. I looked up the animal rescue service and it turns out in Miami, they won't rescue cats. If wanted to bring the cats in I would have to trap them myself (something I had no time to do) and then they would most likely euthanize them.

Stray or feral cats that are surrendered to ASD will be evaluated for potential adoption, but the vast majority will be euthanized. There is no hold period for stray cats surrendered to Animal Services.

So the ending of this story is that there was nothing I could do for them. I was only visiting and the animal services would refuse to come get them. If I brought them in myself they would be euthanized.
