Hi guys!

I'm wondering, does anyone know if there is a mutator out there where admins can set it to auto-kick (or stop them from entering) players of a certain level. Obviously, the admin would be able to set the minimum level to restrict.

I saw someone say something on a forum some time about there being a mutator, but I'm not entirely sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I found this thread sometime ago, someone did add some reserved slots using ServerExt or something.

There may be an option for level restrictions there.

No there isnt a mutator for it altho it would be extremely useful. Maybe Marco can tell wether its even possible, I dont see why it wouldnt be tho.

I dont think that has anything to do with level restrictions? It only saves up slots on the server so admins can join by entering a password, as far as I can tell.

Well reserved slots are the closest to something like this, so thats why i said that there may be something in that mutator that allows you to set level restrictions :p

Thanks for the replies guys!

I haven't seen anything around myself about such a mutator, but like I said, I read somewhere that someone said there's something kicking about, so thought I'd ask.

It's a shame really because I definitely think something like that would be very useful for quite a few people apart from the others that are on the other side of the whole debate of :p

For this mutator to even work, it'd have to be Whitelisted.
Unless you're using Custom perks, which defeats the purpose.

you activate it like every other mutator and then you can select what the lowest perk of the joining players has to be or what the average level of their perks should be otherwise they get kicked.

If this works... You have just made ALOT of people happy. Checking it out now.

EDIT: Wait, does it check the perk level when the player joins and kick him right away if its lower than the minimum requirement? Cause there needs to be time to change perk in case you have eg. all level 6 perks EXCEPT one, and that one happens to be selected when he tries to connect. Also does it send any messages to the player asking to switch to a higher perk?

he will be kick right after joining the server, but you can set it so that it takes the average of the perks
eg: set minimum perk level 5.5 and the player wont be kicked when he got 4 lvl 6 perks and 3 lvl 5

and if it works like it should i may release a new and better version where you can configure more things.

Would there be a way to kick the player only if they SPAWN using a low level? Or if they try switching mid-game?

Preventing them from even choosing a low-level perk is probably the best solution, albeit difficult to implement.

This sounds like a good option to me and a way round the selection of perks they choose from.

I'll try to do this, but i dont know how diffcult it is and i still dont know if it works correctly.

I think it's awesome what you've done so far matttthias! A big thank you from me. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get it working. Probably me though or something.

After a lot of thought on this, I really think that would be the way to go for such a mutator as there have been many times someone will join as a level 6, but later change to a very low level :\
