Great!

Multi-player is where the RO2 shines, though. Get familiar with the roles and functions in Single Player ("training") and then jump on board a server. My advice is to find a server playing Territory (TE) maps. Don't get too terribly discouraged if you die countless times before seeing your enemy. That happens to everyone. Hang in there. Use the "T" key to bring up your objectives and run from cover to cover towards them (if attacking). Pause, listen for gunfire, try to pinpoint its location and move accordingly. If teammates are falling all around you, or if there is a pile of dead bodies where you are, you're probably not in a good location......

See you on the battlefield.

I have tried the game and i can honestly say it is really really good thank you for convincing me to buy it

You should drop the singleplayer, since the goty patch a year ago the movement and animation are really strange and if you want the real experience play the multiplayer. Its a way better and intense game when you play with human player instead of brainless bots running around. Singleplayer is just multiplayer with bots and introduction videos

One thing you mentioned was "respect" towards the soldiers. RO eschews said issue by focusing on the microcosmic aspects of the war. There are no morals or politics - just guys with guns trying to kill each other. Aside from the fact that it's 1942 and you're fighting over the city of Stalingrad - the story is limited to "The Germans are attacking the Russian held factory".

If you're playing this game you'll be thinking, "****, they've got a machine gun holding the left flank, maybe we can get some artillery on that bunker"... The game IS called Heroes of Stalingrad - but in fact, you'll feel like an average young man, enveloped in the hell that was Stalingrad.
