The same fanboys who shouted "IT'S BETA" when anyone complained about RO2 several weeks back are now posting videos of BF3's own beta, shouting "LOOK AT WHAT A BROKEN MESS THIS IS". The irony is painful.

QFT. You can jump on this guy all you want, but there's no denying the absolute truth of this post! (And no, I have no opinion of BF3, because I haven't seen it personally.)

The difference is that while we got 6 patches during ro2 beta, bf3 beta wont get any major one and the first patch after release will be 1 or 2 weeks later, just like bc2, till they decide to work on a new game a couple of months later and abandon it

yep, irony

Man, you just have to have a snide comment for every post you disagree with, and the last word in on every topic, don't you? But, I won't argue with somebody with an obvious crystal ball and/or high placed connections with EA's top brass ... and, in case you haven't noticed, RO2 seems to be back into a limited beta again, and said beta isn't even working yet, so your argument is rather hypocritical, IMO. It's not about issuing the larger number of patches, it's about providing a playable and optimized game.

My crystal ball says you should keep making goodbye threads and crying all day on steam forum, maybe someone will finally give you the attention you so desire

LOL, I just KNEW you'd have to get the last word in, as always. :D

I was watching the tank portion of the BF3 trailer; Thunder Run I think it's called. The M1A2 Abrams are mock ups. i.e. no M249 on a slip-ring for the loader and no armored cupola with a mounted .50 cal.

And the designer playing as the gunner was using manual lead on the main gun suggesting there is no laser range finder.

How's that for realism?

And jets are flying 10 kph. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say it was never meant to be realistic.

to be fair its not supposed to be realistic, just a little feeling of authenticity :p if you try to be too realistic you wont get cod players to buy your game, thats all battlefield is about nowadays unfortunately, profit

That's exactly what I hated about all BF games until BC2. The jets are totally pointless. It doesn't even feel like you're flying a jet, it feels beyond arcadey -- generally I just don't like games that try to do a whole bunch of things at once and don't do any of them 100%. Like for example I didn't like BF2 because it was neither a great FPS (blocky, no-detail environments) or a great combat flight game (you fly a jet around a 1-square-kilometer battlefield at 30 km/h). BC2 was great for me because it WAS a great FPS, it was just a great FPS with some really cool vehicle elements thrown in that worked well.

From day one I've had the concern that BF3 would return to being neither here nor there, but it looks like the FPS element is actually pretty solid so far. Still, the jets and everything might turn out pretty dull again.

After playing flight sims for so long I just can't stand the aircraft in Battlefield-type games.
