"so can we be expecting an update on the on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month?"

That's a map that may perhaps appear some day if we ever issue an update; the idea was to have a map which dealt with the final moments of WWI in a similar manner as the PariserPlatz and Konigsplatz maps did for RO.

When the mod is released as a Beta, the maps will focus on the 1914-1916 period.

Then, if we make a Second Release of Iron Europe, the maps would focus on the last two years of 1917-1918.

Sweet Jebus it's quiet in here. No need for constant updates, but the last announcement I see dates from SEPTEMBER. I mean drop a line on occasion, maybe do litle dev diaries every so often.

We really could use some Modellers, Texturers, and Map Makers; about every position is open and we need multiple people in each area.

Yes, we need some help.

If anyone out there is interested in seeing this mod become a reality, has some modding skills, and is willing to put some work into the mod, please fill out a brief application at the Iron Europe Forum.

We still need more people to work on Iron Europe WWI Mod for RO2.

We really could use some Modellers, Texturers, and Map Makers; almost every position is open and we need multiple people in each area.

I also need some Researchers who want to research every historical aspect (e.g., uniforms, reading about the battle portrayed in the map, finding photos of the battlefield and any landmarks, etc.) of some of the planned Game Maps and then, using pencil, pen, graph paper, and ruler, draw a detailed Sketch Map based on actual WWI "Trench" Maps as a Blueprint map for the Mappers. Some college is preferred for this position.

Again, if anyone out there is interested in seeing this mod become a reality, has some modding skills or a serious burning desire to teach themselves the skills, and is willing to put some work and effort into the mod, please fill out a brief application at the Iron Europe Forum.

Just thought this video and music really brought out the horrors of WW1.

Iron Maiden - Passchendaele - YouTube

Looking forward to the Mod...

That movie sucked, and I'm Canadian. That last part, the battle and not the drawn out and poorly acted middle portion of the movie, is great.

I personally really like Lost Battalion. Great WW1 movie:

A WW1 movie which really gave the view, at least me, a sense of impending doom was "The Trench." Good ****.
