Tough to keep this thread on the front page
So here's a couple of concepts directly related to how the campaign will play out.
Supplies -
An army marches on its stomach. (Napoleon Bonaparte)
Supplies are the fuel that keeps an army moving. While this literally means fuel for the army, this also represents men, food, munitions, and material available for the war effort. Each attack initiated by a division requires a certain amount of supplies to even get moving. If a side finds itself with an excess of supplies, it can use them to procure additional special weapons or vehicles. This can go a long way in helping a side push through against the odds.
Morale - The best morale exist when you never hear the word mentioned. When you hear a lot of talk about it, it's usually lousy. (Dwight D. Eisenhower)
Morale is the glue that binds an army together even against the toughest of tests. An army with low morale finds it far more difficult to motivate its troops to form an attack against an enemy and so this can lead to a loss of initiative. An army gains morale from victories on the field of battle and loses morale against a determined foe. This is used in IC as a measure of which army dictates where an attack will occur.
Victory -
Accept the challenges so that you can feel the exhilaration of victory. (George S. Patton)
In order to achieve complete victory over a foe you must beat him on the battlefield and in the hearts and minds of their people. Different areas can hold greater importance to the populous and with that the risk much greater and the reward that much sweeter. After a campaign has ended, the victory points are totaled for each side and a winner is declared. While holding more territory than your opponent is generally a guarantee of a successful campaign, it may not be the case if your side has lost some of it's most important areas.
Stay tuned for more details. I will be displaying the campaign map shortly as well as more concepts as we advance towards the website going live.
