Hey there!
I don't know, have any of you ever played MOH: Pacific Assault, but there was a wonderfull gamemode called Invader. So every map has 4 sections, one team is attackers and another is defenders, to move to another section attackers must have accomplish a mission. It's like Battlefield 3,4 gamemode RUSH, but!
All the time in RUSH you should explode two bombs, all the time.
But not here, yes, there were missions to explode, but not the bombs, not every time.

Once it's a mortar to explode, another time it's a hangar with planes to capture, sometimes you should send a message to allies through the radio.
One of the missions were to explode the enemy mortars, as long as these mortars are not destroyed they can be used by team, this way they can make it harder to get to them for the enemy team!

It's like a mission and all the time it's not only different it is also has some point, real one that makes sense to do it.
They actually combined all gamemodes in one like Demolition, CTF, Domination and all the others.
It's like you playing missions but with real people.

Think about it.

I like this mode and I've seen it in various other games too. Combining TE, CTF and Rush(BF) is very entertaining. On the other side this gamemode is very demanding in terms of creating maps and assets.

I wouldn't say no to something like that but there are many other things to work on first. Which is fluent gameplay, fixing clunky movement and animations in my opinion.

I might point out that TE (Rising Storm in particular) had a lot of destroyable targets too. There weren't enough clues for the average player (which is a newbie) to notice. But this is applicable to all the destruction in RO2/RS (e.g. did you ever notice that every train on TE-Station could be destroyed?!). But there weren't enough animations for satisfaction, a real value for the gameplay (apart from the destroyable targets)and the circumstances to destroy something was very "fixed". The maps feel so static for the most part so you just don't assume that it is possible.
