KF Interrupting Patriarch Heals

So I was wondering exactly what types of attacks consistently interrupt the patriarch from healing. It really just seems sort of random

"Heavy attacks" The saturation of the specimen known as the "patriarch" with bullets while he pokes himself will prompted squats. Tally-ho.

Large damage attacks, and I think you need to hit him before he starts jabbing himself with the syringe, because once he starts that you can't interrupt him.

I always use these kinda things and he stops healing
