I noticed a annoyance for me, when selecting another weapon, you constantly have to select the weapon and click to select it, why not do it in the old way like when you scrolled your mousewheel that weapon would show up, i know it probably is done for realism, but it can be a bit more time like in RO1 for the weapon to show up...

Seems like nobody is bothered with this... I got killed many times because of this, you switch to your weapon you want, you switch to far, switch back, press mouse 1 to select it, bam, you are dead.

Use keyboard to select gun. Voila! I think its still the same system - press 1 for rifle etc. You don't really expect the soldier to "cycle" through his weapons as you move the mousewheel?
Anyways, pressing number keys is really fast and worked better in RO1, so I strongly recommend using them. They saved my rear part many times (good old times of dropping rifle in the middle of reload and switching to pistol :))

Instant Weapon swap = unrealistic anyways. I dont wanna have a situation where i catch an enemy with a nade out, then he can instantly shoot me, thats stupid. Id like to see the actual animation of putting something away and taking another out.

They say this is supposed to be Realistic, so i will take their word for it, so that it dosnt get another inch closer to COD. Which COD does exactly that

Yes, this annoy me too, but fortunately there is the weapon selection with numbers (1,2,3 etc) that allow you to select directly the proper weapon ;)

learn to use numbers on the keyboard.

it's awkward at first, but it's far better that way... it's way too much hassle trying to accurately scroll through weapons, especially after picking up a new weapon up or throwing all of your nades etc.

Why can't there be an option to fast switch weapons ?

In RO this option was very handy, in the mod DH with my unit we even do CORD's (Close Order Rifle Drills), i don't know if in DH2 we will have instant weapon swap, but if not, cord's are gonna be either very hard to do or we can't do them anymore...

Guys, 1 question. What is the fastest way to switch weapon? Logic tells me that dropping your rifle and grabbing the pistol is much faster than anything else IRL (you free your both hands instantly and don't have to bother with putting rifle on the sling on your shoulder), but I'm curious if it makes any difference in game whether I drop my rifle or not.

I think Nightfire means when you scroll the mouse wheel to select your gun you should have the option to click to select or just scroll and it will auto change for you. While number keys work for people using WASD, not everyone is using those keys.

I personally would like to see the fast switch implemented, it doesn't have to be a super fast switch, just not having to click would make life 100 times easier.
