KF Input on new DLC/Need more fire bug weapons!

I just wanted to give some input on the new weapons. I bought every dlc so far except for the camo pack and the Rocker. I only wanted to point that out because I really love the game! Also, for the input below I'm level 6 in everything and normally play hard mode.

Anyway, in my opinion the new weapons aren't very useful. Players will buy them and then not use them.

The bile blower is neat but pretty pointless. I can expect that one to be weak because it's a low tier weapon. I know that it has it's spot on the list. I guess my thoughts are... try not to make a really interesting gun to put on the lower tier because in the end it's suppose to be weak. It'll just end up disappointing. Also, the bile on the ground doesn't do any damage to the monsters. It could be neat to make it do damage, spraying it on the ground making a small damage barrier from the monsters.

The Zed gun V2 is good. I like it! The graphics are very appealing on both firing options. But I don't like the fact it doesn't multiply damage on flesh pounds but overall it's the best one in the pack. When used with a grenade it's really powerful. Again it's lower on that tier so it has to be a little weaker than the first one. But when you think about that, why is it's name version 2 when it's weaker than the first in all aspects? I guess if anything I have a problem with the name.

The seal Squealer Harpoon Gun is disappointing. It feels like it needs a larger clip and a secondary fire and a damage upgrade. When I read the description for the gun it sounded like it was going to shoot through things and pin them to the wall. That's the only thing I can thing to add to this gun. Maybe pin things to the wall, then have them explode. Whatever you decide to do is fine. I just hope something is done to it.

The Seeker Six
is terrible. All it does is bounce monsters around. I'm level 6 and I can't kill clots with it on normal. The only way I can kill anything with it is by throwing a grenade first and then hitting it with a missile. It needs a huge damage boost. The other thing it needs is a larger clip. I felt like I was reloading every 3 seconds when using it, and it takes forever to reload.

Well in short the main concern with all of these guns is the damage. They don't do very much damage at all, especially the seeker six. All of them need a larger clip, except the bile thrower which felt like it needed more carrying ammo. I'd also love to have all the guns have a secondary fire especially when I paid some extra money for them. That's about all I have to say! :D

The only other thing is... PLEASE make more fire bug weapons!!! I can't stress that enough! :IS2::)MORE FIRE BUG WEAPONS!:):IS2:
This is where you can get the most creative! I'd buy a future dlc pack if all of them were flame weapons. I'd still buy it even if they had a few problems like the ones above. It's so much fun torching everything on the screen, I just want more unique ways in which to torch those things!

I thought there would be more responses to the new DLC. There's almost nothing on it. I think I'll take a look on Steam maybe there's more there.

I still think the new DLC Us Vs Them is pretty weak all around. All of the guns need some more balancing. I'm just one opinion though. Hopefully you guys can get a few more viewpoints.

By itself, yes the harpoon gun is pretty dissapointing.

However, stack it with an m79 and it's a very lethal combination and the 3 missles per clip is more than adequate.

Shoot a harpoon into the center of a group of gorefasts/clots and follow it with an m79 round and just enjoy the massacre.

That being said I don't consider it much of an option for the later waves.

I would use the other weapons that way too. The zed gun version II. I'd throw grenades with the alt fire. It just doesn't seem like a practical use needing to aid it with another gun just to get results. I read somewhere, on steam or here that all three shots can destroy a FP but I've tried that. The harpoon doesn't do much to them on hard and probably nothing on higher difficulties. It needs another use, maybe just shooting a proximity round into the wall, that would be cool.

I don't think I'll continue this thread. nd2spd linked the threads I was looking for. I had trouble finding them because of the name of the DLC (Us vs them). I also searched the names of the weapons and I didn't find much.

Well, thanks for the response, I'd just like to continue this on the threads above.

I couldn't find these threads! I looked for them, I swear I looked! I wouldn't have made this thread if I had found them. I'm going to blame not finding them on the name of the DLC, Us vs them. All of those words were remove from the search because they're used too often. All I had to use was "DLC" and the name of the weapons and they really didn't bring anything up.

Anyway, I'm going to those threads. A mod can delete this thread if they want, to clear some of the clutter.

I disagree. You should see some of the combos people pull off with specific mixes of loadouts.

You probably know this by now, but the harpoon's damage is bugged. Sometimes the harpoons are devastating, which is why 3 can kill a Fleshpound. Sometimes they do nothing. This bug is crippling the weapon; if it was fixed, the harpoon launcher would probably be one of the best new additions to date.

Anyway, I'm going to those threads. A mod can delete this thread if they want, to clear some of the clutter.
Do... do we have mods?

I know weapon combos exist but with this gun it just seems pointless. It doesn't have much to offer. They should just rename the thing to Extra Grenades. All it really does is add to an explosion. I don't even think it does a good job at that. I normally don't even bother buying the thing.

Oh! I did see a combo someone made with the harpoon but it was way too complex and difficult to work normally in a group with other players. The weapon combo was used to kill a FP. You probably know what I'm talking about.
