yah i wason a round of koitos and the enemy machineguns were killin us russians, so i aksed nicely if they sniper could go take out the certain guy, and blamo, he said ok, he went and took him out. later i made a few requests for him to be in certain positions snipin on certain areas and he complied with all of them, which was truly nice for me as commander because it really let up on the fire on my guys as we moved on the estates and appartments.

Well we cant totally discount the lone wolfs and their wiley ways.

I'm not saying that a whole team of them is going to get the job done, but somtimes all it takes is one tricky lone wolf to get the enemy screwed up enough to let the main bulk of the team get through to the next objective.

I think the key is when you find a lone wolf is on your team, find out what he's doing, you just might be able to use his lack of visable teamwork to your advantage.

Or you can allways start talking with him and asking him to help you out with some specific stuff, or try teaming up with him and help him out instead, you might make him feel like he's part of the team or that his playing an important part in the outcome of the game and he may become a little more cooperative in the future.

Sometimes I think many lone wolves are the result of shyness. (Though not all the time, I myself have gone off alone for reasons other than being shy.) And I think the player in question may be feeling nervous about working with a group of people he has never met, maybe he may even fear rejection or making the team lose because of his actions, or whatever the reason is that he acts alone. A few kind words of advice or praise, or even telling that character to "lead the way" may be all they need to losen up a little.

I trully agree with the fact that many lone wolves are lone wolves due to shyness. One theory I have though is that if a lone wolf is left alone, and stays with a game, he eventually will become verry good at what he does.... Which is staying alive with no support. I know that I will lone wolf it if I see people around me doing things like running in open with no cover and getting gunned down. If you can't find somone to work with that moves or think tactically, then the other people that you might decide to support will only get you and them killed. There have been plenty of times where I have been lone wolfing and have slaughtered many enemies in one life because my senses were heightened because any movement or sound could be an enemy. When around teammates, I tend to rely on them to cover their area, and that usually leads to my downfall.

When clearing buildings I prefer to have support from someone, especially if I'm a rifleman, but if the teammate is making a lot of unneccessary noise, then he is gonna alert the enemy that you are there to kill them and they will be ready. There have been times when I have been on a team where working with others was a hazard to my health (in game). Yet other times working as a team was the only thing that kept me alive.

In the end though, as I see it, a team of team players will always dominate a team of lone wolfers. But if a lone wolfer is good at what he does, then let him work alone if he wants.

Gaynades1!
The proper use of grenades is something many people lack, far to many people use them as lottery tickets, and melee weapons. let me first say that its not a sin to die with grenades on you! Far to many people just throw grenades in "the general direction" of the enemies units, this is BAD ladies and gentlemen, thats the second greatest cause of stupid and accidental teamkills. USE grenades on positions where you know theres enemies, IE: a machinegunner, guys dug in somewhere, before entering a building that is ocupied by enemies (make sure the cap marker isnt flashin or you might be about to tk). about the grenade being used as a melee weapon, this is a dirtier style of play that i myself use sometimes when im in a tight spot, however its unadvisable because you might tk some teamates.

Grenades also work as a 2 second smoke screen or distraction device. You drop it over a ridge you're hiding under and move right after it goes off, while they're peering through the dirt and smoke you just kicked up.

This is especially useful in maps where you have to move short distances from cover to cover without dying. Drop a grenade in a spot you think (or you've seen) a machine gunner has been pinning you, and go after it goes off. :D
