In-game VOIP setup

IS there something special i have to do to configure my mic to work properly in game?

i use the default caps-lock key and i see the small icon that pops up mid left on my screen but noone seems to be able to hear me across all servers...

When i go to configuration in steam and run the test i can hear myself just fine, and it works fine in other programs as well ( vent, skype, xfire)

There is something wrong with the voip atm, i think. I had trouble communicating with some folk yesterday, it was like the sound was not going thru all the time and even when it did the level was low. So we circumvented the whole issue with TS.

Atm RO2's voip is a mess.

Completely broken as far as I can tell and maybe even not fully integrated into the beta.

Will see what happens when the game comes out.

I've used the ingame VOIP before, perhaps it's something to do with key bindings.
I use the V key if that's any help.

Though I was wondering why servers were oh-so quiet.
