It should be working by default, are you running a listen server or dedicated?

Honestly, you aren't missing much. In-game voice is TERRIBLE.

Can barley hear people.

We are using a vent server and its so much better.

Ya, the voice is REALLY bad in this game. It's so quiet and crackly. Every now and then someone with a good mic who is speaking loudly can be somewhat audible.

The biggest complaint I have about the game is the voice audio. Second to that is the in-game audio (money money money, I'm trying to heal you, etc). Not a big issue while playing during a wave, but WOA is it ever annoying after. Wish it was "If soundBite played within the last X seconds, don't play"

Ventrillo seems to be the easiest solution to in game VOIP though.

You should be able to configure the voice quality client side under your audio options.

Not sure however if it will make the improvement your looking for.

As well you must select the option to make all voices lower when someone is speaking otherwise you wont hear a thing. KF uses the windows default microphone, so the same that is used with the windows voice recorder.
All you should need to bind is a transmit button to hold down to speak.

by using the default ini servers only allow the low quality voice codec.
They need to manually add the higher quality voice codec in the selection.

I've made a preset ini for dedi servers which adds the high quality codec as well.
