So, let's get into the technical details a bit.

Google Fiber is 1 gigabit a second, and it may become commonplace 5 or so years from now.

There will be many equalization even faster and in most of NA and the EU we'll have blazing speeds.

Combine this with new processors, which, according to Moore's Law, will be about 150% as powerful as they are now.

What do you think?

lol! all i get is a picture in my head of 128 players running around on apartments shooting each other in the back of the head trying to get a shot off.:D i pray that when the time comes, the maps are ten times the size!

You all are thinking WAY too small. I want to get in a padded 4x4 cell, put a helmet on and fight on the eastern front.

Your not hardcore unless you fast for 3 days before every match, to make it realistic.

The player count on Mount and musket and mount and blade in general is great.
There are some coder\s that coded past the 64 player limit for BF2 servers and they/he use it with the Project reality mod to host 128 player matches.
Then a lil while ago they had a 200 person match event on Project Normandy which as you can guess is operation Overlord. quite a few videos of the 128 players and a few up so far of the 200 player event should check it out

crpg... good times man, good times. most epic battles i've ever fought online :)
mount&musket is nice too, i especially enjoyed being a drummer, standing in the middle of the battlefield, only to be slain by evil flanking cavalry.
with fire & sword was a bit disappointing. but m&b is an epic series anyway.
