Couldn't disagree with you more. After a 1000 hours of RO2 the audio design (in my opinion) has always come across as poor. Zero pop to grenades, arty, or the report of small arms fire. If fact it always sounded like the audio foundation was more akin to what you'd find in a console game like COD.
