I thought I was the only one who didn't like, you hear this, That's it should sound

German WWII MG34 Machine Gun/Lafette tripod - YouTube

are you guys beeing sarcastic?
in iom it sounds almost exactly like in the video you posted. just a little different which makes sense since the sound is different for the shooter than then the for the one who is beeing shot at.

the original sound in RO2 sounds much damper and generic.

New suggestion: Jamming!

I know that a real nasty jam puts you out of the battle completely but how about making it an "easy" jam, you just need to hit "R" to pull the charging handle to relive the jam. Of course the jam mustn't appear like 3-4 times within 10mins but let's say several times or even no time over the entire map time.

I fear that would only add to the frustration. And it has been suggested (for Vanilla too) before. :p

weapon reliability is a very important part of simulation. without simulated weapon reliability, weapon will be very different from real life. its a very important paramter, as important as fire speed for example. when weapon realiblity will be simulated, you will change your opinion about some weapons cardinally. For example, G41 was complete crap. It had sensitive detail on the barrel, if you damage it - automatic doesnt work. if you fire g41 and dont clean it - its a bolt action after 1 week. Sensivity to dirt inside is over9000.
Then, MG34 will be sensitive to cold. So on winter map you will prefer DP for realiability.
SVT will be MUCH better than G41, but still it will have little problems sensivity to dirt. So in some cases u ll prefer bolt rifle to semi auto. etc, etc

Is it just me, or does the tank's turret mg shoot only half the bullets compared to the hull mg?
For example, it shoots about 2.5 bullets per second when the hull mg shoots about 9 (like it should in real life).
Why is that?

I think you're watching the tracer in the turret MG... as long as they're the same MG, they all fire at same rate ;) if you sweep MG fire across a surface where you can see impacts (a wall or perhaps water) you'll see that is true.
