This mod is truly a godsend. Amazingly incredible work you guys have done here. There are a few things I'd like to see improved, though:

-Dynamic speed is awesome, but it needs to be toned down. I know running on snow is pretty hard IRL, but in the game it's so crippling it could make some maps unplayable. Maps like Red October and Comissar's would be impossible to win as the attackers.

-The sniper scope is also pretty hard to use now, with that huge delay of allignment. That could be toned down as well.

-I love the enhanced suppression, but I'd like to see the black & white + heartbeat effects removed and replaced by the RO1 effect, with the blurry and blinking screen. I never really liked the RO2 suppression effects.

-Give the Russians some new summer uniforms. A plasch palatka for the heroes and the summer trenchcoat (like the ones in Enemy at the Gates) for some of their regular infantry.

Aaaaargh, I wish RO2 was like that from the beginning.

It bothers me too. On winterwald you can see plants it means snow is not that sick, or myshkova river where it hardly can be called snow at all but it decreases your speed noticeble nevertheless.

just remembered 2 bugs that are extremely annoying
1) tank stucks somehwere, then i drive somewhere and suddenly teleport to the place where i was stuck.
2) i am not sure if it is a bug or it was a server lag or even a cheater, but sometimes you are aiming at the enemy very accurately, shoot and nothing. Today this happened to me several times - german was running near me ( my ping is about 100 ), i shooted him from M38 3 times and he just ignored. then he aimed and one-shoted me.
I am 100% sure i aimed correctly. He was in ~15 meters from me, i aimed slowly and my sights were exactly in the center of his chest.

I understand that these problems are hard because TWi didnt fix them, but i really hope that it will be fixed in IOM

Some (potentially personal / opinionated) criticism of the current build:

Scoped rifles are a pain to use. All "benefits" are lost when you can't even track a target or LEAD A TARGET without losing them in a haze of black fuzz. I would suggest a drastic speed up of the re-alignment. (Gameplay over "Realism")

The screen fading the black is, for the most part, a tad frustrating as I want to feel some control as to whats going on in terms of your after death UI experience. I would suggest the spawning menu being placed over the top of the fading to black.

The volumes for explosions and gunshots are still just that smidgen too loud, I have to turn the in-game volume down after half an hour, up to the point that they are no louder than the stock sounds anyways (Like, whats the point anymore :p ).

I want mai objective capture music back! (Or at least as an option Client-Side)

I understand that you don't want people relying on pistols for battles, but I feel like 2 mags is just too few. Especially for the AT rifleman class.

Death screams are a little too frequent, they lose their fahzaz. I would prefer the Stock-game style of doing them, E.G Heart, Neck, Groin and limb severing shots.

Other than the above ^ I like what you've done. Shooting is still nice and doable without delving into RO:OSt old-man arm aches. Molotovs are fun, if a little too easy to use in some cases.

The black ring on the scopes really does need to be toned down. It's not even a gameplay vs. realism conflict, in my experience scopes just don't act like that. Yes, you'll see the black ring if you're not properly positioned, but once you're positioned, swinging the muzzle around doesn't bring the ring into view at all.

I have several scoped rifles, so I just tried it with one, and even swinging the muzzle around wildly, the ring never came into view. I also tried pulling my head back far enough that I could see the black ring all the way around, then swung the muzzle around again, but there was hardly any noticeable shift to the position of the black ring.

I think it's fine to have it while you're not holding the shift key, you could assume your head isn't firmly set in the right place yet, but once you're hold shift down, I don't think moving your muzzle should have any significant effect.

I agree with these points.

You can configure those yourself through the Steam Workshop menu. You then click on the mutators button, and click on "configure" once you have the mutator selected. You can adjust your volume levels there and they are saved client-side.

Another minor bug report:

This one is super trivial, but I guess I should mention it just in case its an easy fix.

When you have the PEM sniper equipped and right click to aim, your soldier's shadow does not show on the ground. When you press 6 to look underneath the scope and through iron sights, your shadow appears. There appears to be no personal shadow when in scope view, only ironsight view.

I do not know if this issue happens with all scopes, but I just happened it to notice it while using the PEM sniper scope.

edit: and just in case: tested on commissars house

Pretty sure that happens with all scopes. I think it has to do with how scopes are rendered in game. If you pay attention in the stock game, you can notice a bit of a change in lighting as you go into scoped view.

You can play IOM 24/7 with us right now, just join a IOM server. And tell your friends that the best server could be found in the unranked section.
