on behalf of the REAL community, because some of those comments made by people on the Steam update page are just childish. It seems people like to read the first few sentences, and then complain about "OMG W34R MAi P3RFORMANCE F1X NAO," when if you read literally a sentence later, it is stated that you are fixing performance issues. It does not represent how grateful we actually are. This post-launch support has been amazing, and I can't wait for Rising Storm. Even with a year to work on it, it looks pretty solid.

Hopefully these classless whiners will move onto another game, preferably soon.

To an extent, people have the right to complain reasonably. They paid money for a product that in many cases outright didn't work for a good while. It's well and good to see the updates post release, but the fact we need this many speaks to the poor state this game was released in. Don't be so hard on people simply for being dissatisfied.

Thats just a specific form of people reacting to certain things, love it or hate it, you won`t change it.

I`m sure TWI knows how loyal their real fanbase is as well as I`m sure that real gamers know how important titles like RO & RO2 are for gaming itself, where almost everything becomes more casual every day.

Because of that I`m forgiving TWI much more than i would do when it comes to other devs...for their work is unique and important. Keep it up!

To most of us TWI fans since their inception (2005 for me), we know the legacy they have started. Being patient is key because they do not have the huge staff and programmers like EA or Activision. I know this will game will improve over time much like RO1 did over time.

I really couldn't agree more. The company has worked wonders in the weeks since release. One of the things that stuns me is, that for all the supposed knowledge about game quality being thrown about, there is no appreaciation about the brutal nature of designing and marketing entertainment software. This indy company is surviving in a bad market with a sea of competition that can rip the lungs out of a firm with one false step. The flexibilty and scope of the game has barely been reavealed. There isn't a single era of the ground war that can't eventually be successfully represented by this engine. Not just Stalingrad. I really wish people would take a deep breath.

Sajer you are spot on, all it takes is one wrong step and TWI is swallowed up by the big two (activision and EA).

That's right!

Damn those bastards practicing capitalism and demanding quicker satisfaction in a product they paid for, and anyone who disagrees isn't a true fan of Tripwire!

Although I agree you can be a fan of TWI and be disapointed, it's not like you were a loser for waiting a few days and reading reviews and feedback. In my limited life experience I figured that you can't trust car dealers to be honest, same goes to all types of salesperson, no matter how nice they are to you. In my case it ended up well, I've enjoyed my game, it just goes to show you can't expect things to live up to the hype.

Wow, I am terrible at writing, anyway, make of this post what you will, I have no idea how to fix it.

You could have the game 100% working properly and still have people griping because not 100% will agree on design choices and you will never get 100% to agree because everyone has different expectations and needs.

Every, and I mean every, game that comes out always has bugs, glitches or exploits in it. That is a no-brainer! For people to whine about a newly released game that will inevitably have bugs, is beyond me. People should be used to it by now for any type of game.

All I hear anymore is whine, whine, complain, complain. Sometimes I wonder if people do this just to get attention. Just relax and let the developers fix the game with frequent patches. You should be fortunate that TWI is being proactive to help out their fan base by fixing their games.

It could be worse. You could rely on EA to fix their games. Oh wait, EA doesn't fix their games after release. They move onto the next title right away. How silly of me to think EA fixes their games.

Noone is saying who is or isn't a true fan. The point I've been trying to get across in several threads (that quickly get derailed by people complaining) is its fine for you to state an opinion, but there are several people that are CONSTANTLY and REPEATEDLY voicing the same concerns, and spewing out negativity. It's tiresome, and quite frankly, its not going to make anything change more quickly.

I mean you'd think that TWI came to their house and slapped their grandmothers.

Agreed. I feel really bad reading idiot comments from people who can not appreciate all the hard work going into making games. No matter how hard your skin is it must really suck getting so much flak from anonymous runts.

One thing I have noticed is that many of the people who hate the game are obsessed with it and can't stay off the boards discussing it. It got under their skin and they're propably playing it every night. Secretely in love :)

Hard work goes into every game, you'd be hard pressed to find one game that is sold for money that doesn't have hard work behind it. Why is this an excuse for anything? Hard work goes into making mostly everything, but if it's broken it's broken. And RO2 was bloody broken at release and weeks afterwards.
