What kind of gun laws there are in Belgium, when you can have operational rifles without any sort of licence? :)

I thought, that possessing firearms was very complicated thing in Belgium.

With the Hans van themsche racist murder incidents a few things changed in Belgium

Before that, Historic weapons like the ones i have where required to have a license and where a huge part of the black market
However, if you wanted to own a gun(In case of small calibre pistols and hunting weapons), you went to the store, applied for your license, BUY and take the weapon HOME! and you would get your license 6 months later

Hans Von themsche was able to kill 2 persons(Including a child, the sick bastard) because of this.

The gun law needed to be changed. So there was like a compromize. The gun law would be changed, but Historic weapons had to become free of license to own. The argument of doing this, was obviously the black market, and the ammo wassent used by official armies anymore.
now when you want to aquire a weapon, you first GET your license and THEN you buy a gun(And you need to be registerd in a shooting club)
BUT=

You can own now the following type of weapons
-Bolt action rifles designed and issued before 1945
-Revolvers and pistols wich do not use commercial ammo (For example, a luger in 7.65x22 MAY be owned without a license, but for a 9mm luger you do need a license)
-When it is for collecting purposes
-You may NOT own ammo of the rifle

If you decide to go shooting with these rifles, you go for a License(Not a permit). This requires you to wait 6 months in wich, for the weapons you registerd, you can buy ammo and go shooting with it in official gun stands

This is a gunlaw wich works. People can collect these rifles for there historic reasons, the Black market took a huge hit,Gun incidents are down and the people who collect these rifles, keep them out of warzones.
This Mosin nagant i bought, could easily be used right now in afghanistan or Africa to shoot and kill innocent civilians.

Yeah, shamefully you have a few people with "WORRLLD PEACE" vision who actually believe it is possible.

The gun law we have has proven its worth. Also people are following the law way more. I plan to only stick to the rifles that are on the HDF list. Illegal firearms wont come in here!

But dont worry, i'll keep these finnish babies safe and sound :)

My new gem, all matching Remington m/91 (1917). Sadly the very poor photos make hardly justice for the gun.

Bluing is very nice on everywhere else but the buttplate. Bore is also quite nice. Stock is nice, but there

Many people like mausers. I like more non german mausers but also the Gewehr 98.

If you guys are looking for like, a Mauser bible. This is the one you need=

450 pages of EVERY mauser model with many details of EVERY nation! I got my copy today, and i was overwelmed with the amount of info about mauser rifles.

I especialy bought it because i wanna know as much as possible about Belgian, Czech, south american and swedish mausers.

its like! A MAUSER BIBLE!

Maine, US
Wish they would sell those Kulmbach rifles (BD44 and 42H) in the US.

I'd consider buying one without the ridiculous import costs.

Then again I'd also need to figure out what to do about ammo.

In what calibre are they chamberd? If it is 7.92x33, Pvri partisan still produces that ammo

but not everyone likes the ammo from that company...
